Don't forget the digital copy! Everyone loves those!

This movie looked awful, despite having the audacity to have Michael Rooker in a supporting role. Samuel L. Jackson's hair looked better in this than how the movie itself looked.

Will the extras be in HD on the UK version? I'm asking because if they're in SD they may be PAL, and not playable on US BD players.

Good point. I don't know. Seems like this would be a lock for a Paramount BD release here, but who knows when now that the DVD is already out.

If it's on a Blu-ray disc why would that matter? I'm not versed in all the technology but from what I understand if there's SD video on a BR disc that shouldn't have any effect on the playback. Right? Wrong?

While there is no PAL or NTSC with HD material, they still apply to SD material.

Ah, we seriously need an affordable region free Blu-ray player capable of NTSC/PAL.

According to EngadgetHD, Band of Brothers is being prepped for a BluRay release this year. That's going to be sweet.

Dark City may be released on BD. Here's the post from blu-ray.com:

The folks over at Bloody-Disgusting.com recently chatted with writer/director David Goyer regarding the rumor of a re-release for his film 'Dark City'. Goyer revealed that his critically acclaimed film would be receiving a re-release soon, which would include no special effects work and an overall longer cut that required the film to be re-scored.

More importantly, Goyer revealed that the new version of the film would not only see a limited theatrical run, but also most likely a Blu-ray release. He also participated in an hour-long making-of featurette, which will include length interviews with the cast and crew.

Didn't Alex Proyas direct and write Dark City? Sure, Goyer had a hand in writing it, but shouldn't it be considered Proyas' movie since he did more?

I just saw on DVDEmpire that Battle of Britain and A Bridge Too Far are listed for a 6/3/08 release. I know these have been announced, then delayed before. Is this for real this time?

Themanroom.com has confirmed it.

Apparently for a Father's day promotion, along with Master and Commander and other delayed Fox/MGM titles.

In for Jumper and Hannah Montana (which will probably set some sort of BD record).

Someone thought the same for the release of High School Musical 2, but it sold terrible, just as Hannah Montana will. Preteen girls and PS3 are mostly exclusive demographics.
