Saw this @ Second Spin yesterday. I def like the slipcover it comes with more than the one for the Steelbook.

Yes, the contents are identical. You can buy in either DVD-sized packaging or Blu-ray packaging. There are also a number of retailer exclusive packages with Steelbook, plush toys, and/or other swag.

Re: Disney releases "Snow White and the 7 Dwarves" 7 WEEKS Early on Blu-ray

So according to some other reviews, it seems a lot of galleries and things are there on the Blu-Ray version. Seems no one has really done a full comparisson as to what is missing from the original. I know Barbara Streisand is, but I could care less about that.

And no one has compared picture quality either. Still debating this release, as cheap as it is.

DVDmg.com does....I'd go check out their review, as they always break down all the supplements piece by piece and go through them pretty extensively....they also reviewed the original DVD SE and there is a link for it at the bottom of their BD review, so you can easily match up between the two reviews exactly what is not carried over in the new release....

While I wouldn't get this upset about it (though I am aware you exaggerated for effect ), it is kind of disappointing for completists who would like to see everything from the previous release carry over to the new format....as it is now you can't just have the BD as your definitive copy, as you have to keep your previous edition as well...

I don't seem to have my receipt for buying the steelbook at Best Buy anymore. I know I bought it with something else and on my Reward Zone card, will I be okay without the receipt?

I'm hoping they give me the $10 off with my preorder already paid for.

Re: Disney releases "Snow White and the 7 Dwarves" 7 WEEKS Early on Blu-ray

Damnation Disney why did you do it??!! I am furious that they've left out completely my favourite deleted sequence , namely The Witch At The Cauldron - Boil Cauldron Boil - I am furious that Disney have left the deleted sequence out of the new Blu Ray - why on earth this has been left out of this "most complete" Snow White and The Seven Dwarfs version God knows because it was included in both the Laserdisc version and previous Platinum Edition DVD in 2001 in fact the Laserdisc also included the Pencil test animation !!

It's only 30 seconds long but was a terrific sequence adding extra ooomph to the dark edge of the Witch/Wicked Queen's character - why oh why they chose to dispense with it I'll never know!!

releasing the Blu-ray + DVD combo package in both Blu-ray and DVD sized packaging is no doubt going to confuse the nation.

Did you charge or use a debit card? They can look up your number and pull up the receipt at the customer service desk.

Got a 10% off coupon in the mail for this weekend. I think I'll put off picking up my pre-order until Friday.

Since I got this for $9.99 at Amazon, I'm wondering if I should cancel my Best Buy preorder and get my $8 back and keep the steelbook.

That is definitely within their pre-order "rules".

I posted this in deals but I'll repost here...when I went to BB this morning to cancel my pre-order, their computer system wouldn't let the refund go through without getting the steelbook back first. I had forgotten mine at home but the cs rep didn't care and said I could just go pick up a new one off the shelf to do the refund. It was probably of questionable legality, but it was his idea. So I got my money back and got to keep the steelbook anyway. Just letting you all know

I had Best Buy match Wal Mart's $19.95 price. So I was able to get the steelbook for the same price as Wal Mart.

Interesting. Well, even if I can't get my preorder monies back, at least I still got the set and steelbook for under $20

Yeah, but I pricematched this for $19.99, brought in the manufacturers coupon for $10 off, keep the steelbook and bought a second Disney blu and got a $15 gift card. I think thats the winning deal on this one

Re: Disney releases "Snow White and the 7 Dwarves" 7 WEEKS Early on Blu-ray

I had pre-ordered the Steelbook. I went today to get my copy of the movie, gave them the $10.00 off Manufacturers Coupon, and I had a $5.00 Reward Zone Certificate. The pre-order took $8.16 off with tax. He had to manually put the $10.00 Coupon in, because apparently Best Buy won't take Manufacturer Coupons (something to do with having to mail them in), and the $5.00 Reward Zone Certificate took my total down to $2.69! So, $8.16 + 2.69 = $10.85 out the door for the 3-Disc Blu-Ray/DVD Combo pack and very nice Steelbook! Can't really beat that!

Yes you can...should have pricematched to TRU or Wal-Mart, you would have saved another $5.
