I remember everyone saying what a strong female character Julia Stiles played, that she could be a role model for girls to empower themselves. Huh. Must be the part when she exploits her gender by flashing her teacher to help Heath Ledger's character. Real feminist move there.

I loved this movie as a teenager and I'll be glad to pick it up when it's released. It's a beautiful film and the sets were great, especially the high school used in the movie.

The first part of Season 1 of the show has been set for January 12th. It's very possible the movie release might get pushed back a week just for the tie-in.

Too bad they are not using the theatrical and DVD poster for this movie but I'm definitely upgrading to the Blu-ray version.

PQ on the DVD is good, but if the bonus features are all you're waiting for it's not a revelation. Good commentary, mediocre featurette, anything else that is claimed to be included (deleted scenes/screen tests) is sort of not included (integrated into the featurette and chopped to bits).
