Are those daggers real or plastic? That is a fantastic looking box.

The daggers are for real, no plastic.

You can get the set here:
http://www.joyo.com/product/movie.as...E6%C2%F1%B7%FC (cheaper than layoyo but the shop has only a Chinese interface)
or
http://www.layoyo.com.hk/cgi-bin/nco...AGE=1&curr=USD

I wonder if that will cause a problem with US Customs?

It would be great if somebody could start a "part three" on September 1.

Merci!

Every box has only one. And on the outside of the box there is no indication that it includes a dagger. Mine went through the German customs without any problems at all.

Bill Geiger seems to be qualified for this kind of work but I have not seen him around.

The House of Flying Daggers wooden box has English subs.

The Cowboy Bebop Boxset is from Korea and should be still available in most Korean onlineshops.

Could someone here please help walk me through ordering that THOFD set from the cheaper of the two sites?

What all is included in the set? Does it have English subtitles for everything?

Sorry, I ordered from Layoyo.com. Didn't want to deal with all these Chinese symbols

The set includes the wooden box, the dagger, the movie disc, 2 bonus DVDs, 1 OST CD. The photobook includes information about cast and crew (in Chinese) and holds all 4 discs. Decent English subtitles are only available for the main feature, the bonus features don't have English subs.

Sorry, I only had the lousy EDKO single disc, and so I can't compare it with the EDKO 2-disc set, but what I can say is that the picture and sound quality of this release are much much better than of my EDKO single disc.

Ordered HOFD box so tks for the tip. I was surprised at how cheap it was, shipping actually costs more than the box. 2 disc Edko, R1 and now this, oh well... Is there room in that box to fit all my HOFD DVD's?

Couldn't resist THOFD box set either! I ordered from http://stores.moviesville.com/Items/1501612?

Cost is $29.99US, shipping is $3.99. They claim you won't have any duty or customs charges. It'll be Interesting if it pans out that way.

Also, there are 3 available discount codes:

1. Coupon code: 5OFFANYORD (5% OFF ANY ORDER)
2. Coupon code: 10MOVIESVI ($10 CASH BACK FOR ORDERS $99 OR BIGGER)
3. Coupon code: 25MOVIESVI ($25 CASH BACK FOR ORDERS $199 OR BIGGER)

I also got a $0.50 off e-mail discount? Not sure why. It just showed up during checkout.

Never heard of this place before, but it sounds like a good deal!

wow, that's an insanely good deal. Let us know how it pans out.
If I can get this w/o the hefty shipping charges I'll pick it up and just have 2 THOFD on my shelf.

Is the "wooden" Flying Daggers box really wood, or is it flimsy cardboard like some other "wooden" box sets from mainland China?

I was going to order from Layoyo, but the shipping cost more than doubles the price. It might be worth the risk of trying that Moviesville place, though I've never heard of them and am a little suspicous.
