Gotta say MURDER and the HAMMER FILMS. And the most important thing about Four Flies is that it's OAR and an Argento approved cut. We've been waiting a long time for that...don't let us down or just don't do the DVD.

Thank you Martin Blythe for taking the time to post at various boards - It is very nice that Paramount adresses the public so directly. Also nice that Paramount has released and will be releasing a lot of the titles from the old HTF-poll. But untill now it seems to have been the "easiest/most mainstream" titles that has been released - hopefully you will soon be able to adress some of the other popular requested titles, like THE KEEP, DANGER: DIABOLIK, BLOOD AND ROSES and...

Martin, please stop making jokes about FOUR FLIES ON GREY VELVET - please just tell us, what we want to hear: Yes, Paramount is releasing it uncut and in OAR! Director Dario Argento has stated that he would love to be involved in the release.

That's a good crop Martin, and thanks for the chance to chime in again. What can I say? I'm a huge Hammer fan and can only get on my knees, grovel and beg while profusely salivating that Paramount treats their Hammer catalogue with extreme respect. Many Hammer personalities, both production staff and talent, are still around and, as evidenced by another dvd studio's successes, seem happy to participate in providing commentary and interviews regarding their work. Captain Kronos is a fine place to start, as it is not only a great movie in my eyes, but is also a popular one amongst Hammer fans and horror fans in general. But please don't stop there. I forget exactly which titles Paramount has, but I can certainly say that whatever Hammer you do have, I'm more than willing to buy copies of them, and would greatly appreciate any extras that Paramount could obtain for them.

I'd like to see special editions of Murder on the Orient Express and Bugsy Malone.

Of course, as if you already didn't know, many movie buffs would rather see special editions of some little known titles like The Indiana Jones Trilogy, Grease, Top Gun, Titanic, and The Jack Ryan Trilogy. Not that you asked.

Thank you for the special collector's editions Paramount has been putting out and the consistantly wonderful 16:9 enhanced widescreen tranfers of your films. I look forward to the rest of the special editions of the Star Trek films and the rumored Saturday Night Fever.

Gotta say, though, that Bugsy Malone is one of my favorites, and as a video store employee, it is one that we've gotten several requests for.

OK, wait a minute.

I may have been dense. I thought that this Wings was the 1927 picture that was the first film to win Best Picture, and the only silent film to win Best Picture. Also has not been released on DVD.

If this is the TV series, I am changing my vote.

If.... and Murder on the Orient Express are probably the two most deserving of extras, IMO, though I'd buy them even without extras.

I'd also snap up Bugsy, Foul Play and Looking For Mr. Goodbar.

Did someone mention Let's Scare Jessica To Death? Great little movie, very creepy. Probably too obscure to hope for on DVD, though.

First off, let me get my vote in also for Murder on the Orient Express. Any x-tras you can do for this title would be great.

More importantly though, I just want to echo some other comments thanking you for giving us the chance to have some say on our favorite format. You won't be able to please everybody (or in some cases anybody) when it comes to extras on dvds, but very rarely, if ever do you find anyone that can complain with the effort that Paramount puts in the Transfer/Audio of their discs.

Keep up the great work on all fronts with your dvds, you guys are consistently one of the top studios out there with your output.

I'm so happy that these are coming out on DVD. Also glad to see that you will be releasing some more Jerry Lewis films. I'm hoping to see The Disorderly Orderly & Who's Minding the Store on DVD one day.

The Wings I'm referring to is the classic silent film. To the gentleman who complained that he's not enthusiastic about these films, please understand that these were titles were weren't sure about - i.e. whether there was enough interest in them to merit special features. I wasn't asking whether or not we should put them out on DVD - we will.

Looks like I'll be alone in voting for the Jerry Lewis titles to have special features. Since Jerry is alive and well and has a HUGE archive of materials on all his films, I'm sure you can get his participation.

Second votes would be the Hammer films and the silent classic Wings.

You beat me by one post, Peter. How dismaying to see no one else talking about Jerry Lewis' work. His films (alone but especially with Dean Martin) are long overdue for DVD. As far as special features, *now* is the time to get them. He's not going to be around for too many more years. It would be fascinating to hear him discuss his films, especially since he was such a force behind the camera (even if he wasn't directing).

For those who didn't catch it, Peter Bogdanovich paid great tribute to Lewis in a recent New York Times article. He was making the case for the Academy to award an honorary Oscar to Lewis for his creation and innovative use of the now-ubiquitous video monitor (via a video camera attached to the movie camera) that allows easy framing and ready playback during filming. As a friend, fan and film scholar, Bogdanovich would make an ideal companion for a Lewis commentary track. And it gets even better: They first met on the set of The Ladies Man, one of the first films to use the new technology, when Bogdanovich visited the set to write an article about Lewis for Esquire. This was five years before Bogdanovich became a director--with Lewis among his influences. The Esquire article would be a dandy extra, as well as notes about the technology and maybe demos and behind-the-scenes footage, plus interviews with both of them.

I'm also a big fan of Darling Lili. The DVD must have the longer cut, but maybe also an option to watch the shorter version. Blake Edwards and Julie Andrews could do a fun commentary. And won't a pristine digital edition be ideal for that crucial frame after her hat dance.

extras on some Jerry Lewis DVDs would be great... but I'd be totally happy with just the films themselves. Perhaps double features or boxed sets? Getting only the Nutty Professor is such a tease!!!
