Does anyone know if the rebate deal for Dawn of the Dead 2004 is for the unrated director's cut or the theatrical version? I would prefer to get the unrated version if it's part of the rebate deal.Thanks.

The FYE near me was only offering the Unrated version. They weren't even selling the other.

Update

I don't think many people will care, but I've noticed several sites stating that Catwoman is coming out January 11, not December as the FYE preorder sheets are showing.

Wherehouse 20% off Coupon 10-10 > 10-13

There is also a Wherehouse 20% off coupon in the Sunday SF Chronicle (10-10-04) good for Used CDs, DVDs and Games.
See:

Note: Wherehouse and Coconuts are both FYE stores and have most of the same specials

New FYE deal, saw it on a flyer, starts today, but no one seemed to know any of the other details.

Spend $25 Get $10 FREE---Spend $25 or more and get a coupon for $10 off any purchase you make between Nov 1st thru Nov 20th.

That was pretty much all the flyer said, not sure whether you can pile up preorders, any restrictions on the coupon, whether it applies to sale items, or whether it is good at Strawberries, Coconuts or elsewhere. There's a good Coconuts sale this week, it would be a good chance to pile up some coupons.

Also, from the Coconuts thread, here is this weeks sale. I don't know whether it is good at Strawberries as well, chances are it isn't good at FYE. The flyer is available at Coconuts.com, note: The sale is only good through Wednesday 10/13.

see www.coconuts.com/15fsoct for details, enter promo code 15FSOCT at checkout.

At fye.com it says Ren & Stimpy seasons 1 and 2 is $27.99 minus $7 rebate.

Is the same deal in-store? If so, maybe the $10 for spending $25 will work with it?

I did try the 15% off and it worked. $23.79 before the $7 rebate.

Nice price.

Now to wait and see if the $10 off works for an even better price.

Will SPECS simply hand out these specific rebate slips if asked? Obviously, purchasing at Coconuts.com utilizing the coupon with free shipping and then obtaining the rebate instore @ SPECS for additional savings would be idea. Would just like confirmation on this.

Does anyone know if the dvds purchased online have a UPC sticker on the shrinkwrap like the instore dvds do? I'm sure no one here wants to cut the actual UPC from the dvd to get the rebates.

My Aladin came with a UPC sticker over the UPC on the box, but no such luck on the Star Wars trilogy. I guess I gotta make a trip to the FYE and see if they'll print one out for me for the rebate.

Yep. When I picked up the Star Wars pre-order there was no tag so I asked for one. They said to just grab a copy and pull one off.

Strawberries

Strawberries does have the same circular as Coconuts, for new releases:

19.99 + tax - $7 MIR

Day After Tomorrow
Raising Helen
Breakin All the Rules

29.99 + tax - $7 MIR
Ren + Stimpy

I'm not totally sure on R+S, it was marked with 2 different prices in store, one 29.99 AR, one 22.99 AR, if you're interested call before you go.

Also, there was a new Elf pre-order sign, with a $12.99 AR price(with free Yule Log DVD with preorder), so I'm not sure what to believe.
