Had a love affair with IG-88 back in the day. Someone actually managed to make a droid look pretty cool and not just goofy.

Is it a stretch to think that Titanic 3D will make a boatload more money than this did/will?

I was read that it took the Falcon several months to get from Hoth to Bespin. Again, it's the only way any of it makes sense, Luke, Leia falling for Han.

I always figured Hoth was right next to Anoat but Bespin was several systems away. The ice planet might have been near the edge of the solar system & the asteroid field was right across the border.

Hoth was close enough to its sun to have daytime and a breathable atmosphere. Even assuming a much brighter sun than Sol, it would be well within the system's Kuiper belt and Oort cloud. And if Bespin was "several systems away," even with closely packed systems that's a long way without hyperdrive. The only thing that makes sense is that ships have a second FTL system that's slower than hyperdrive.

I always thought that in the prequels the battle droids should have been the same model or similar design to IG-88. An army of IG-88 droids would have been much more menacing than what we got. Then IG-88 could have been a survivor of the Clone Wars.

I also thought they should have shown Anakin recovering in a bacta tank at the end of ROTS, so what do I know?

Hoth could have been very close to its sun. It is believedthat Earth has, at times, been an icy planet like Hoth. (See "Snowball Earth")

Yeah, well they conpensated for that by having those in the cartoon show. I always imagined that when Obi Wan mentions Clone Wars in Wars that it had boxy looking X-Wings weeving through a giant crystal forest planet's surface (aka Fortress of Solitude from S:TM)

This makes me laugh. I guess he watching his own acting would make him swear off Star Wars. Cause he tainted it.

As much as I cant stand the Prequels, I actually feel bad for him now. It's his stupid parents that probably pushed him to acting as a child, and they all probably thought it was wonderful when he won the role of Anakin Skywalker as a kid.

But if you look at the history of most child actors, they always turn out screwed up in someway. They are hired as child actors (most of the time because they are cute), and when they get older nobody wants them because they really can't act. They never live a normal life because they are homeschooled or have a tutor on the set, and many kids end up fighting with their parents over their fortune after they turn 18. (McCauley Caulken)

I still say shame on his parents, as any parent who gets their kids involved in acting at that young of an age is using them for their meal ticket.

And yet, he still has no trouble showing up at sci-fi and star wars conventions

And sharing scenes with an actress who started as a child too, and later wins an Oscar. STFU.

And why did he major in Film in college?

No, Lucas tainted it by deciding to make Anakin a little kid. Considering the guy can't even get a good performance out of seasoned actors, I can't blame Lloyd for sucking, and even if I did, the statute of limitations ran out years ago. Can you imagine someone coming up to you today and giving you shit for something you did when you were ten?

And Portman's performances in the prequels sucked, as did everyone not named Liam Neeson.

From other interviews Lloyd's done, he's studying film editing and does conventions because they offer him money. What's the problem with that? Is he somehow raping your childhood?

Yeah, Star Wars fans never change. Have to feel sorry for Lloyd having to put up with them, though.

I was just wondering why he would do anything in film, after his experience. Then swearing off Star Wars, but then accepting money for appearances based on his involvement...

Re: Star Wars: The Phantom Menace...in 3-D for 2012

While it might suck to have to do it, he might not want to go by 'Jake' if he doesn't want everyone to instantly think of him in Star Wars. Jacob Lloyd might be an option. It still is his name (i'm guessing Jake is short for Jacob) and will at least cut down on his Anakin recognizability.

I wonder how much he actually remembers of the filming.
