Why? I have no idea but these just look like things that could easily be taken care of but there they are.

The bank robbery actually takes place not on ground level but apparently about 10-12 stories up from the look of it. Take a look out of the windows during the robbery. I always assumed they walk right out of the bank to ground level, but they never really show this since they cut to the police station first, so it could possibly be that the bank was on the 10th floor or something.
Goonies
I was just watching this on HDNet Movies tonight, and the rock that Mikey lines the coin up to is apparently Haystack Rock in Oregon. This isn't so interesting, except that you can see the same rock behind him in some shots when they are up on the cliff about to walk to the restaurant.
What things, mistakes or otherwise, have you noticed in movies that you've seen innumerous times?

I'm not sure if it's the same scene, but in heat the bank is a one story bank that was located in Century City but has recently been demolished and is empty now (though I'm sure another sky scraper is going up soon. It was located just around the corner from the old Tripps/Century Club and a block down the street (north) of the big hotel the president usually stayed at when in town. And that hotel is just a block north of the Die Hard Nokitomi building.

I watched UHF on VHS probably a hundred times and never noticed RJ looking through the window at Stanley during the "pizza delivery kidnapping" scene. I noticed it the first time I watched it on DVD.

You can see the Die Hard building just SW of Olympic and Ave. of the Stars.

Sorry to keep harping on this, but in the commentary Michael Mann says that they shot downtown. Plus, it has downtown addresses listed on IMDB: http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0113277/locations

I don't think it lists everything, but the exterior bank scene with the big shootout WAS filmed on Avenue of the Stars in Los Angeles, CA 90067, which is Century City. They come out a building on the East side of the street between Santa Monica Blvd. and Constellation (closer to Constellation).
Map of 1960 Avenue Of The Stars Los Angeles, CA 90067-4606, US
Click on Aerial image and then zoom in up to the second closest setting.

In John Carpenter's The Thing, one of the guys jumps against a snowbank to avoid gunfire in the opening scene. After seeing it probably 20 times, I noticed that the hole in the snowbank is already there before he jumps, most likely due to previous takes.

When the T-1000 is riding the police motorcycle up the stairs, it has "off-road" tires on it as opposed to "street" tires. It is probably a different bike than the one seen earlier too.

There were so many jokes that flew over my head when I was little watching Ghostbusters. Seeing it again as an adult made me love it 10x more than I did as a kid.
I'm sure the same can be said for most, if not all, comedies I saw as a kid.

Near the beginning of Back to the Future, Doc is shot by the Libyans soon after showing Marty the DeLorean. In the shot where he has his hands up and throws away the gun, in the background one of the lamp posts in the far distance flickers for a split-second. This is the "other" Marty returning from 1955 and running towards the parking lot when the DeLorean he comes back with stalls.
