I think Mondo mispriced these. The market is not there for the Boonme print @$75 esp with a relatively huge print run of 400. I mean, I saw that print a while ago during some site's coverage of the film and liked it, but I don't $75+s&h like it.

Also, as someone else said, the original movie poster for the werewolf one is cooler and for a non-variant, I can't see someone dropping $40+ on it.

Hopefully, I can find Boonme in the $30 range one day, it is a cool looking poster.

Yeah, I think the print run is simply too high for these niche movies. I did manage to get the werewolf variant -- love the blue, but am not a fan of the regular version.

Yup, TGTBTU, The Godfather and Seven Samurai are all sold out now. Congrats to those that got in on this!

I still regret not pulling the trigger on the Chinatown print from earlier this year -- the poster of the year, imo.

I'd like it more if the characters on the poster looked like the actors. If you put those two sitting on their own without the title and frames at the bottom I'd NEVER guess the movie.

In case you think the Mondo's that dropped today were expensive, check out the Mr. Brainwash print that dropped. Went for $1k and sold out in seconds Curious to know how many of the buyers are flippers.

I think Mr. Brainwash is a far more in-demand artist thanks to Exit to the Giftshop, so that price tag doesn't really surprise me (even if I would never pay it).

Not that I'm plugged into the art market in any way, but I think $60 w/a small print run is about as high as the average prints I see on Mondo should go. There just seems to be so much parity in the movie print world. I feel like at least every 2 weeks or so, I'm finding new sites and new artists that have some awesome prints and moderately priced at that, thanks primarily to this thread.

Re: Mondo/Alamo Drafthouse Screen Printed Movie Posters

damnit, my nakatomi tube still isn't here and the tracking still just says the shipper notified of a package.

Why do I get the feeling like my order never shipped out and when I bring it to their attention I'll just get whatever shitty prints they have lying around and leftover.

I think it has to do with USPS. Sometimes after I've recieved the package I still have the same messages that you guys are saying. It kind of sucks.

Care to share what you recieved takingchase?

I'll post pictures tomorrow. I only received one movie themed poster, it was the kill bill 2 poster. No rampage poster either, I guess I got my hopes up after seeing everyone else receive a decent lot of stuff.

I like the Tesla poster, I'm happy with the test print, but the kill bill 2 poster was my least favorite in the series and the last one with the car and the cats even though it's not marked with a scratch and dent stamp on the back clearly has a big crease in it and looks like someone dripped coffee on it. You cant see either in the picture but both are definitely visible and it would drive me nuts to look at it if I had it hanging on the wall. I didn't see them say anything about fucked up prints besides the slightly damaged tarantino ones so I'm kind of pissed about that which is a shame because I would have been happy with this print too.

If anyone wants to trade for anything PM me, I'm not to partial to anything I got.

EDIT: nevermind I snapped some pics really quick.

Wow - nicely done! Sounds like a frame will likely cover that small cut.

Re: Mondo/Alamo Drafthouse Screen Printed Movie Posters

Such BS man.
Been trying to get a FDTD for 20min now and all have been held in cart. It doesn't take 20min to make a purchase. Are people just being assholes and holding them in the cart for the allowed 30min ?

Sorry, “From Dusk Till Dawn / Rhys Cooper” couldn’t be added to your cart because they’re all being held in other buyers’ carts. Buyers have 30 minutes to checkout, after which it may become available again.
So all 200 are in carts and it is taking 20min + for all of those guys to check out ? I keep checking like every 2min and get the same thing.

phukin hell man ... sold out !!!

Have you seen any of the work Shepard Fairey has put out lately? He doesn't even try, it looks like he spends 5 minutes in illustrator just because he knows it will sell out no matter what.

A few examples of his most recent stuff. It's hard to believe this guy was one of the reasons I got into street art back in the day.
