The premise does sound cool, but my one question is, would the stuff in the shaving can still be viable? I could have sworn that there was some time limit on the amount of "coolant" that the can had to keep the embryos viable? I am sure they would figure out some way to explain it, but seriously are you kidding me.

"The script starts at a Little League game somewhere in America, an idyllic scene that quickly goes bad when pterosaurs attack the kids and their parents. "

Sounds like a cross between
and
All they need is to sign on Scott "Heeeey, Mallory!!" Valentine as the lead soldier and Corey Feldman as the voice of one of the dinos. "I am Spartacus!! Rooowr!!!!"

"If I remember correctly, 36 hours. You could say being buried in the island may have helped prolong the process? I dunno, I'd forgotten about the coolant time limit 'til now."
Kal El, that is the time that I recall also, just did not want to specify for sure in my post. Definitely a huge continuity problem with the first film since the island in JP is tropical so there is no way it would be prolonged, if anything sped up. But hey, if a full grown alien can spawn from a facehugger now in roughly 20 minutes actual time in a movie I guess anything is possible

that was one scene in the original that I alwyas felt like Spielberg was milking anyway, he purposefully shows in great deal the shaving cream can getting encased in mud, and yet nothing is made about in either any of the sequels.

There were, after all, still dinosaurs on the island. So there wouldn't be any need to create a "gimmick" for a sequel.

Actually, it brought to mind this pleasant childhood memory: http://imdb.com/title/tt0213341/
Now I'd rather they spend their money on a gritty version of that cartoon.

So since I can not stand reading AICN 'articles' which lose my interest immediately since they ramble on about useless stuff detailing their entire day/lives,before finally getting to the ****ing news already.
So I did not read the article. Can someone please explain what this script idea is like? I would love to know.

I guess they will never really capture the awe and wonder of the original. That is what made it so special and I think a lot of people agree. I hate this whole "monster movie" kind of thing.
