So the UK is only getting this a day earlier than us, as opposed to the normal week that they get with Marvel films.

Also for some reason, the first time I watched the trailer, "Cherry Bomb" playing over it didn't work for me. Now that I've watched it again, for some reason, I liked it. I dunno, maybe I was just tired this morning.

So I was looking at these GOTG legend toys, basically you have to collect all the characters, and each character has a piece of groot inside.

Anyways, I noticed the Iron Man toys mixed in with GOTG. I know in the comics world there is some sort of tie in, but are they trying to allude a tie in with the MCU as well? (Back to Avengers when Stark actually entered space?)

It is a part of the MCU. Not that I know of anything but with Thanos trying to collect the Infinity Gems, this movie will probably deal with several of them so they don't have to work the collecting of them into the Earth-based movies. So by Avengers 3, Thanos will have all of them.

The post-credit scene of Thor: The Dark World confirmed that both the Tesseract and the Aether are Infinity Gems. Supposedly GOTG will have a third Gem. There are six total, so that is half of them. I suspect the other three will be revealed in phase three in GOTG 2 or Nova or whatever cosmic movie Marvel has planned.

I think phase three will be:

2015 Ant-Man
2016 Captain America 3
2016 Doctor Strange
2017 Thor 3
2017 GOTG 2 or Nova
2018 Avengers 3

GOTG 2/Nova will have Thanos with all the Infinity Gems leading into Avengers 3.

Not that that means he will get his own multimillion dollar big budget movie, but who knows.

From what articles I'm reading Feige confirmed that they're making the Dunno what the Aether and that scepter/staff gem are exactly. I can guess that the latter is Mind.

Thor: The Dark World confirms only that the Tesseract and the Aether are Infinity Gems. The Aether is given to the Collector because they say they don't want to keep both Gems on Asgard. But isn't Loki's staff also on Asgard? Then there are still two Gems on Asgard.

Loki's staff is on Earth. The Cap 2 after credit scene showed a guy had it and was experimenting with it.

Yeah, that's what I hear. I just never go to theaters. GOTG comes out August 1, but I won't see it until this winter when it comes out on DVD.

I already do know the basic plot of Winter Soldier since the TV series Agents of SHIELD spoiled it.

Stark is (or was, I haven't read the comic) part of the comic-universe Guardians of the Galaxy. But the toy lines always mix up movie characters and comic characters (especially in this case, with no recognizable characters, they had to put in an Iron Man... if they could, I'm sure Spidey would've been in the wave too). The Nova in that line is also (thankfully) the comic version. And the "build a figure" gimmick means that the collector gets all of 'em (or more than likely can't find one piece because it's shortpacked and has to pay a premium from a scalper).
