Well I clearly wasn't being serious...although I did forget about the toys. Just pointing out that they've done a good job keeping Luke a mystery.

Luke will be saved at the end of the movie. Judging by the filming that has taken place at that creepy bit very cool island off Ireland it seems to be panning out that a Dark Force from the past in some kind of Sith graveyard is coming back and he is standing guard protecting this from happening. I imagine that the shit will hit the fan right at the end and set up the start of Episode VIII. As for the Death Star, i think that will pan out over the three movie with a huge battle happening in the last movie.

I saw a friend in the UK managed to pick up premiere showing tickets at IMAX starting at midnight. I would love to be there to see it. Sure this movie is going to be the Stars Wars movie we are looking for.

I doubt that Luke will be saved until the end of the film. He probably won't appear until 30-40 minutes in though. I suspect he'll be taking on the Obi-Wan mentor role.

I'm guessing we'll "see" Luke throughout - flashbacks, glimpses, etc. but won't see his face until the final shot of the movie. He probably has a single line of dialogue in the whole film. This is Harrison's movie. The next one is Hamill's.

I could see him not appearing until the last fifteen to twenty minutes of the film or so and not doing much then being featured more in the sequels. That's pretty much been the rumor for a while and with the rumor about this film being the characters searching for Luke it would kind of make sense for him not to be featured prominently in The Force Awakens.

I hope they wait for the whole movie to show Luke's face, and when they do, he's wearing The Joker makeup.

planning 2 and 4 years out for an actor that will be in his late 60's by then is an interesting call. fortunately he seems to be in great shape now.

Makes you look back on all the big projects Christopher Lee worked on during his last or so years.

Even trying to see this opening week is a psychotic decision, the crowd will be like five rock concerts.

I'm hoping they opt for 7pm, 8pm, 9pm showings instead of just midnight.

I agree, this is something best seen second or even third weekend, or during a weekday matinee.

Luckily the city I live in isn't very large so going to a show opening night shouldn't be an issue. I still might look into getting some tickets just in case but I really don't foresee it being an issue.

Just got my tickets to a 7pm showing on Dec. 17. I didn't know you can now purchase from either Movietickets.com or Fandango. The showings showed up on Movietickets, while Fandango hasn't updated yet.

We're 2 hours away from the new trailer. Should be around 9:50 p.m. eastern time, give or take depending on how long this shit football game goes in the first half.

Looks like they're selling them for the DOME in Hollywood but only in 3-D. in fact they have a shitload of 3-D showings and very few non-3-D ones. I can't even score one ticket due to the site being flooded.

Same with other theatres around me. Mostly 3D... not interested.
