I've avoided this thread because it is a bold faced lie...this is not the world's first POV film.
Anyway, I am not sure if I will like this...I am on the fence, but I did like one of the reviews of the film:
You could go see "Hardcore Henry" - or you could gulp down a pint of vodka, load in "Grand Theft Auto," then strap the TV to your face and throw yourself down the stairs.

I will be seeing this tomorrow. I usually sit dead center in the theater but I may move back a few rows this time around.

Yup, like I said . . .
(I do own that one, but it still can't compare. Literally.)
But I suppose if one needs to justify not seeing Hardcore Henry, that's one way to go about it . . .

There is actually a 'Lady In The Lake' poster in the film.
Saw this tonight. Light on plot (which didn't surprise me) but I thought it was pretty fun.
I wasn't sure on it early on but the more ridiculous it got, the more fun I had.

I get nauseous watching POV video games and I can't play them so I am not sure if I can handle this film.

Well, there's no way of guaranteeing it, but as I've mentioned up-thread the filmmakers did take technological pains to minimize the effect compared to what you often see in "found footage" type films (many of which can also lay claim to being POV films before Henry, though none feature its level of action and choreopgraphy). Again, I think sitting further back -- even in the back row -- is probably the safest bet if you're worried about nausea. Or wait for DVD or streaming, since the film may play just as well on a decent sized home screen, where the video game comparisons will at least feel even more apt.

I also get somewhat nauseous watching and/or playing video games (one big reason I've never played all that much), but I'm certain that that discomfort is largely related to the fact that such games involve an awful lot of aimless, herky-jerky wandering around, which in a way preconditions susceptible viewers/players like me to be even more nauseated when a big fight or chase scene comes up. HENRY has so little buildup to the action sequences -- unlike, say, BLAIR WITCH -- and the action sequences themselves are so rich with incident and detail that I don't think I ever had time to develop feelings of queasiness. Can't speak for everyone, obviously, but there's just something about how they filmed and post-produced this thing, and hopefully they'll reveal all on the Blu-ray's special features.
I've wondered since TIFF what the experience would've been like in 3D. The film practically screams for it, but maybe that would've been true overkill?

Just saw it.
I really enjoyed it. It's a good time waster. Not amazing but interesting in concept and execution. Can't escape how low the budget was for what they attempted. At the same time... it's part of the charm of it, I guess.
Really funny at times. I dug it.
I don't get the whole nausea thing. That shit is for the weak. Visually... it throws you in there and you're seeing some crazy POV stuff from Harry. But it's also in its favor for the pacing in it.
LOVED the ending though. Really cheeky. The whole thing is cheeky actually. Can't wait for the BD.

I saw the movie today as well. Not quite sure what to think about it, yet. It moves so fast you really don't have much time to think. Just watch all the craziness. I'm not susceptible to the POV stuff so it didn't affect me. I did sit in my usual "middle of the theater" spot. It was a 400-seat theater with about a dozen of us in there, so there was plenty of room.
If you can take the style of film-making then a mild recommendation. It has a pretty high body count and some of those kills are pretty graphic.

It is a pretty crazy movie. Not even the filmmaking of it... just the world it throws you in. It doesn't allow you to process it through much either. It just shuffles you through it all for you to just laugh and enjoy yourself in wtf it is going to do next.

Ilya Naishuller's Band is Biting Elbows. I only thought he directed it. Didn't know he was its Frontman too.
Seems like they're more flexible in what they allow for filming their action in Russia. Hahaha.

I loved this movie. Great action. Like Snake said, its very very funny. God bless Sharlito Copely. He is fantastic in this and he plays a big role in the humor.
Looks like box office isn't all that great. This will be like my beloved Dredd. A great SF/Action film that will be regulated to being a cult film fav. Hopefully its low budget enough to turn a profit.
Oh, and dolby atmos rocked in my theatre.

I have a feeling this will do fairly well in Blu-Ray/DVD sales.

Spoilers ahead!
I found it entertaining enough but it failed to maintain the surprise you had in the first few minutes when it turns out he had been in an airplane the entire time. Sharlto Copley is fantastic and holds up the second half of the film (at which they start running out of ideas). I was never bored (unlike other “mindless” action movies like Shoot Em Up or Smokin Aces), so that should count for something.
If I want to see cool fight scenes, I'll watch Berandal again. If I want sci-fi shoot outs, Dredd.

I think the comparison to DREDD up above is quite apt.
