So basically, "snubbed" is seen as whining here. Duly noted.

I applaud Keaton's restraint when given the mic.

And travolta gazingo may be a douche but he definitely made up for last year's flub

Politics aside... did something happen since Mystic River that they don't get along?

Stone didn't carry the best picture of the year with the performance of a lifetime either.

Stone basically had one scene that people rave about.

I'm most surprised that Sean Penn didn't first try to make everyone feel guilty about the plight of some people in a tiny country somewhere.

I agree. That's what the whole "just happy to be here" that he said was about. I'm sure he is still stunned, though.

What a shame, once again.

The best pic speech wasn't too bad, he just kinda danced around it in a humorous way... Of course I would've loved to ask him to clarify legal vs illegal immigration. I'm just glad I missed Common... Can't stand him.

Sean Penn is trending on twitter.

Morons think he is a racist who hates Mexicans for his comment introducing Birdman, which his friend and former co-worker directed.

Comic book/superhero movies - 0 Oscars
Movie that pokes fun at comic book/superhero movies - 4 Oscars, including Best Picture

I like this.

Oscar voters can't be accused of racism cause they just gave best director and pic to Mexicans!

Zoe Saldana apparently gave birth recently to twins...and smuggled them both in to the show under the top of her dress.

I only finally watched Birdman last night / this morning (despite loving the style, I found that the film dragged on and on after the first 45 minutes, and had to take a break), but yeah, I KNEW it'd get both BP and BD awards. I enjoyed Boyhood WAY more, but side-by-side, Birdman is the obvious choice for both awards.
