It's like the Chinese Democracy of ghost-catching comedy movies.

Indy 4 was 19yrs later and actually had the most important cast and crew return, and even then relied on mostly nostalgia for it's success. We're talking 26yrs later and the lesser half of the original cast making cameos... there's no audience for that.

To be fair, it was Lucas' fault the film sucked.

Spielberg, Ford, and the rest didn't have to let him have so much control.

Dan Aykroyd was the special guest on last night’s episode of AXS TV’s The Big Interview with Dan Rather. Obviously, Ghostbusters was a topic of discussion, with some possible Ghostbusters 3 news once again bubbling to the surface.

Aykroyd said:

“There is a possibility of a reunion with the three remaining Ghostbusters… It’s being written right now.”

Aykroyd also touched on the possibility of Bill Murray returning:

“I think Billy will come. The story’s so good. Even if he plays a ghost.”

Probably no need to. Maybe Aykroyd's suggesting that the Ghostbusters will now be . . . ghosts! Box office billions! Or something.

You're right. It's more than likely a cold and heartless road.

I wonder why Ackroyd keeps doing this. A third chance at a real sequel disappeared when Ramis passed away.

Why not have Michael B. Jordan play Egon Jr?

Re: Ghostbusters 3

Aykroyd needs to just let Ghostbusters die already. Enough with trying to bring it back. Ramis is dead and the others are past the age where I really care about seeing them suiting up again. I still say the video game we got back in 2009 is the next best thing we got in place of a third film.

Is he just really passionate about Ghostbusters, or does he jus want the $$$ that comes from another movie?
I can't imagine why, after Ramis being dead, and they're all old, that he would still want to push for another movie.

It seems like he’s wanted something to happen with the franchise for a long time. He’s seemingly been the one pushing for a third film for as long as I can remember but there have been various hang ups. I feel like he might have left it alone if the 2016 reboot did better, but obviously that wasn’t very well accepted by most.

Three remaining Ghostbusters? Unless they're counting Louis, Dana is not a Ghostbuster.

Poor Ernie Hudson. I think devilshalo was about to argue whether William Atherton was considered a Ghostbuster.
