Sorry to hear that. Wonder why the website says the decision will be sent later.

Here’s a PSA about Sphere shows:
Some seats will have limited/obstructed views!
A bunch of VIP concert/hotel packages included these seats. Vibee, a Ticketmaster company in charge of these “experiences, is offering refunds or rebooking for new dates. I’d be pissed if I paid thousands of dollars and they did that.

Achtung was not my favorite era and that is when they got kind of weird with the makeup which led to Zooropa.

That U2 Letterman special is now on Hulu which is a relief for people who don't have or want to pay for Disney +

Nice. I can't do Standing GA tix with my wife but I bet it will be cool. Hope you have fun in my town. Maybe we can meet up.
Really psyched for this show.

Re: U2 "Achtung Baby" Vegas shows

U2 tickets have gone to general sale and I checked just the show that I have tickets for, and there are still plenty of GA floor available, and tons of tickets on each level. The only sold out section is the 400 level where tickets were only $140.

Most of those 100 level seats are still available. They have "full view of band and stage, limited view of Sphere screen". Not sure how that would affect viewing the event.

Those are under the second level overhang so you can’t see all the screen. It would be like a regular concert. It was a big clusterf**k because MSG said they only found out about the restricted view during a walkthrough. That’s of course BS because anyone looking at the mock-ups could see the problem. It’s like rows 30 and back on that section. It’s going to affect anything the Sphere puts on. They had put a bunch of the pricey VIP hotel packages in those seats and people were not happy. Instead of moving them they offered a refund, people could reschedule to new dates or keep them.

I never reported back after the "We screwed up" email. Got first choice of GAs for one of the Friday shows. So U2.com pulled through for me.

The Sprere external display is working. Wow.
Apparently there will be some sort of a show for the 4th at 8:30 PM. I kind of want to go somewhere on the Strip and watch it.

That's wild.
Guess some things from Blade Runner made it to reality.

Zooropa celebrates its 30th anniversary this year but assume they will not put a tour for that album

Really interesting Tweet and 20 minute podcast about the construction and technology of the Sphere. It has 160,000 speakers in it!

I saw it operating in person last night for the first time. It really is one of the most amazing things I have ever seen.

Every few minutes. It's been featuring cool-looking NBA Summer League advertising (like my second picture there above, as well as in that Tweet) since they turned it on back on July 4th. Will be interesting to see what sort of advertising replaces it once Summer League ends tonight.

Re: U2 "Achtung Baby" Vegas shows

This should be their opening song since it is in the sphere

I wonder if U2 would consider a eras tour and cover Boy, War, October, and the Unforgettable fire the deeper cuts and not just Pride in the Name of Love?

It would be several nights to cover all or most of their catalog.
