Alias 11/9

"Prelude"

Jack takes drastic measures to ensure that the NSC never finds out the truth about Sydney's murder of a Russian diplomat. But his actions place a heavy strain on Vaughn's marriage, as Lauren gets closer and closer to the truth about Sydney. Meanwhile, Sydney agrees to go on a mission with Sloane in order to thwart plans to obtain the operating system to a deadly weapon — and she discovers an unlikely ally in the hunt for her missing two years.
I hate that Lauren bitch!!!

Okay, I liked this episode. It was fun to see Sloane and Syn dance wasn't it? I was pretty surprised that Sark himself would tell Lauren that Syn was Julia.

This was the best episode of the season IMO.

Loved Jack's handling of the guy in the Mexican prison.

I thought it was cool they had Sydney use the Sai's in the big fight scene. Now all they needed was the leather outfit

Hopefully Jack will give Lauren the treatment

Good episode. Liked the gratuitous panty shot in the opening sequence, though I could've done w/out all the blood and weirdness.

Good to see Dixon may be getting out from behind the desk again. Also liked the kung fu fight sequence, especially hearing them all out of breath, which was a nice touch of realism.

Why does everything that happens in Mexico have to look like Traffic?

It makes me sick to think Vaughn is going to wind up getting Sydney back at some point. He's such a punk.

No Alias next week

Great episode; I still don't think it was Jack who killed that guy, but maybe I'm biased. The fight scene was good; but the coolest was Marshall's little toy.

It's sad when we're this far into the season and this is the first that I wasn't rolling my eyes during..

When Vaughn confronted Jack, I was hoping Jack would wipe the floor with him...not to mention Jack gettin' gangsta in Mexico...

The whole first half of the ep I hated Vaughn & Lauren equally..after Sark's appearance, my hate shifted solely to Lauren.
[though, I still hate Vaughn too -- "I don't want to lose you again" [or whatever he said to Syd] ]

For some reason, I thought Lena was going to walk into the penthouse suite..

Anyways, the next ep looks real good. I'm actually looking forward to it.

I liked this episode a lot. The opening scene was a little too gruesome, but otherwise I enjoyed the show. The fight scene with Sydney and the sai's were pretty cool.

Did anyone else notice that when Marshall was controlling the remote controlled stealth car, he was using a controller that was set up in the classic "street fighter II" configuration? Maybe I'm wrong, but I could have sworn that the buttons looked like they were set up like in the arcade.

I guess they decided to take advantage of all that sai training she did for Daredevil.

During a recent interview, Garner said this episode
Spoiler:
starts an arc that will lead to another series shake-up like the Super Bowl episode. They can't even let storylines go half a season now??

gee, you have to admit, the alias writers really let the audience have it with both barrels!

Yes we all hate Lauren

she is to Alias what Connor was to Angel and Dawn was to Buffy, an person to loathe and bitch about!

Marshall rocks !

Dixon is a soft c*ck, he should have slapped lauren, shown the camera her bare ars*e then spanked her some!

i feel sorry for poor lil Syd, her life is hell !

How creepy was that nightmare? Oh, hello, endless tubing coming out of my side!

I liked AngryVaughn! The best exchange of the show was short and sweet...

Vaughn (after coming back from seeing the guy dangling in his cell): "I need to talk to you."
Jack (brightly): "Of course!"

Just the way Jack said it had me rolling. Then Vaughn went all tough on him, and then Jack shoves him away... so good.

And the Vaughns getting fooled by that little boy lying in the road... tsk, tsk. I think a certain fictional couple is due for their anti-terrorism course refresher... they should've just kept on driving, if not sped up. And Lauren, if your car doesn't start, and you lift the hood and someone's messed with your car, you don't reach in and touch whatever it is that's inside your hood! Geez. Let's all be completely retarded to serve the plot.

I liked the Elektra moment.

My biggest roll of the eyes moment was the little care racing through the building. This has to be teh first place Syd has ever been that didn't have stairs in it.

This is one of those episodes that bears re-watching for all the good bits/moments in it.

Can't believe have to wait 2 weeks until the next episode due to the American Music Awards on next Sunday.

anyone else amazed that abc is still holding on to the show? i don't have any numbers but i assume its not doing great (around 9 or 10 milion sound right) i know they gave garner a 7 year contract but still with low ratings, I'm surprised their keeping it. (way to go abc for keeping it. at least they have hope in this show. (hint hint nbc)

Good episode. I think that Sidney's father might be taking over from Jack Bauer as the most badass Jack on TV. He has shown us that he will kill without hesitation if required, and I loved how he listened to Vaughn, and then just threw him out of the way. Is there any doubt that Jack could kill Vaughn with his bare hands if he needed to? Next thing he will be taking the hacksaw to Lauren's head...

Maybe I missed somthing, but how did Sid end up in Julia's apartment? For not knowing about the 2 years, its strange to pick that house in all of Italy. Was it a subconsious effort to get her there?

She should really fly commercial. With the amout of travel in one episode, she would have a huge amount of frequent flyer miles.

The address was in the code Sloane gave Sid with the key. Jack had figured it out because it was a code he and the mom used. He told Syd the address when he was on the phone with her.

The skeleton and the wings was explained by the statue and the birds that she had a view of from her bed in that Rome apartment. After she laid down on the bad and saw that, she flashed back to her nightmares... she flipped out, went to wash her face, and that's when the tactical team grabbed her.

I wonder if :

the horrible treatment of which everyone speaks will indeed be performed on Syd with unexpected results. Maybe instead of jogging her memory on who she once was it will actually turn her into that person?

Loved the episode but could have lived without the opening nightmare sequence (gross).

SpyDaddy being a total smarta$$ with Vaughn was just priceless

Hopefully Dixon getting demoted will mean we get to seem him back in the field. First job, lay the smackdown on Lauren. I really do hope the writers weren't trying to get the audience to like her character. If they were, the writers failed miserably.

Nice to see Garner putting that Daredevil training to good use. The fight scene kicked major butt.

I guess now we can start taking bets on how long Vaughn and Lauren's marriage is going to last. How many more weeks? Three? Four?

Agreed - definitely the best ep of the season.

Bad-ass Jack is currently the best part of the show.

Sydney's sai fight was great, it looked pretty good.

If Jack won't give Lauren the , maybe now that Vaughn has found one of his nuts he will do it.

Please, please let Dixon go back to the field. I'm just mad he didn't tell Lauren to go screw herself.

Sloane was great, but I wish Sark would have at least made Lauren bleed or feel some semblance of pain.

Quick question...

Were the meds that Syd found in the cabinet the same meds that "Francie" had to take so that she could handle the transormation? If so, is this the real Syd ?? I may be way off base but was just wondering about that.

I read elsewhere it was a bottle of antibiotics. That would make sense with Syd's scar. I think it'd be a little too obvious for it to be the clone medicine.
