Joey's voice at the beginning of the show during her narrative of the events that transpired during the summer was kinda weird.

Jack Osbourne swearing...LAME.

Umm, what's up with all these young, male professors that Joey has? This new guy looks like he could be Kato Kaelin's brother. He's an ass. I've never been to Boston, but is it that warm during the fall that everybody dresses like they're in southern California? Like the professor for instance...he dresses like a stereotypical beach bum.

Pacey looks a lot older with pubes on his face. Looks like he's lost a little weight, too, cause his face isn't as chubby as last season.

Pop culture professor: "The rise of the WB."

Pacey: This is my friend Jack. Jack's gay.
Emma: He doesn't look very gay.
(Jack mumbles with mouth full of food that he's gay.)
Emma: Good for you Jack.

Random guy: What are you looking at?
Joey: Drunk guy with his fly open, what are you looking at?

Dawson: Guess what?
Joey: What?
Dawson: Guess.
Joey: You're gay.

Sophie B. Hawkins' "As I Lay Me Down to Sleep" isn't a slow dance song...though it was sorta cute. I think a more
appropriate Sophie B. Hawkins tune would have been "Damn I Wish I was Your Lover". Especially after seeing what came next...

Dawson gives Joey a $20 tourist snowglass thing that you can buy at the airport? And then he gets some play? Okay, before I move back to Hawaii, I'm gonna buy one of those for one of my close girl friends back in Hawaii. Maybe that'll be the extra oomph I need to crossover the friend line.

Pacey's group job interview was a lame Boiler Room ripoff.

Pacey's new boss: "You might want to rethink that suit. It seems a little gay." (It's Jack's suit).

Call from SATAN (Dawson's boss Todd): I'm going to need a triple espresso and some type of pastry situation. Preferably Italian.

Umm, so if Joey is 19, what's the deal with the whole gang hanging out in bars (and presumably drinking)?

Man, that was the worst surprise birthday party ever.

Sheesh, Dawson and Joey FINALLY hook up and they get into a huge argument because a girl Dawson was seeing calls his cellphone? Aargh.

Yeah, I'm not sure what's up with Pacey. Between the facial hair, the jewelry and the new doo, he looks a bit like a 70s cheap car salesman...

I think they should rename the show as either:

"Dawson's a Creep"

or

"Joey's Wonder Years"

I knew Joey was getting too too happy, so happy that I knew Dawson was going to say something that would pull the proverbial rug out from under Joey. I'm glad Joey gave Dawson the boot.

Dawson's becoming way too L.A. and casual about relationships nowadays.

Jack Osbourne showed tremendous acting range last night.

The rest of the cast were very amusing, through Jenn is destined to have all of the sucky storylines. Where have I seen that guy who got her to the help-center?

Pacey's got the whole "Boiler Room" storyline going on.

Pacey's tired as hell. Jack's horny as hell. Grandma's horny as hell. Jenn's mad as hell (at men and the institution of marriage). Audrey is shopping like hell. Joey's sad as hell. Dawson needs to go to hell.

I was unable to watch this last night, but taped it. Hopefully I'll be able to watch tonight and chime in later.

This was bugging the heck out of me last night too. But I finally remembered. He played Ben/Alec in Dark Angel.

Oh yeah, that's the guy! Thanks! It's weird seeing him not playing a smartass.

Jen has been useless for the past 2 years. Kill her off, PLEASE.

To make matters worse, she's sporting a new MULLET!

Someone in the Dawson's Creek casting department must be a Twin Peaks fan. So far we've had Shelly (Madchen Amick) as Dawson's film teacher, Audrey (Sherilyn Fenn) as Pacey's boss, and now Bobby Briggs (Dana Ashbrook) as Pacey's new boss!

I think Joey was lame to Dawson. If I were her, I'd be happy that Dawson chose me over California girl since duh, it's obvious he's been in love with Joey forever. As soon as he hooked up with Joey he ended it with the summer girl. I don't see what the big deal was. She was seeing someone over the summer also. I have broken it off with someone before once you hit it off with someone else. It was Joey that he wanted and obviously this other girl was just a short fling.

Well at the beginning of September when school starts it would still seem like summer. Probably wouldn't start cooling off until October.

I'm in Michigan which has similar weather and I still have my air conditioning on.

Okay. But Joey's professor literally looked like he lived in SoCal.

Joey was pissed because Dawson was cheating on his girlfriend when Dawson shagged Joey, and thus Joey became the other woman in the equation!

Joey's idealistic enough to make her think that she should be mad at Dawson for not being unattached when they finally shagged each other. Now the whole shag-fest is just a horrific birthday memory for Joey.

Anyone else think that Katie Holmes got her teeth bleached/whitened over the summer?

i used to catch this show occasionally as they had some decent plotlines. so yesterday i thought i'd give the season opener a try. it started off well, but the ending annoyed me. they (the writers) just couldn't leave well enough alone. they just HAVE to have an angst ridden plotline with lots of pain and melodrama or it just wouldn't be The Creek anymore, would it? it was just so stupid that joey would drive dawson away because of a technicality. i mean, she IS only 19 and so i guess you could chalk it up to naivete. but those of us who are older can only shake our heads at the stupidity of it all. and worse yet, it only propogates the idea that love must be painful for it to really be love.

I thought the show was pretty bad up until the last half hour or so when the girl called Dawson. It was just too neat and cheezy. I will admit that I'm not a big Joey/Dawson fan, so I didn't care that they are not together at the end. I do think Joey is more in the right here. D knew where they stood at teh end of the last season, and still decided to hook up with someone else, then Has his way with Joey and tries to play it off as her being the troublemaker? I don't know many people that would take his excuse.

I loved this episode(s)! I got goosebumps all over when I saw how Dawson looked at Joey before they made love.

I must admit I lost fate of this show at the moment season 3 began, I just stopped watching the crap but then I started again when I heard that Andie was coming back for graduation. The two last episodes of season 4 was really good, not quite as good as all the episodes of season 1 and 2, but good.

The whole season 5 made me loose fate again, but this season 6 premiere - WOW! - I like how it's filmed. It's alot different from season 5, it's not so... plain.
But why OH why did they spoil the whole episode in the end?! Can't Dawson and Joey just be happy for ONCE! *shakes head*

And I really didn't like the intro that much either... It just didn't feel like Dawson's Creek, you know what I mean?
But I must say that Jen's face when her parents said that they were getting a divorce was priceless!!

Day Out of Days
Spoiler:
Back in Los Angeles, Dawson is asked by the studio to direct re-shoots of "Wicked Dead" after Todd refuses, but is conflicted about advancing his career by being disloyal to his mentor. Meanwhile, Joey hasn't heard from Eddie since Christmas, so she pays a visit to his apartment only to find it empty; Pacey has second thoughts about his new life and starts skipping work to spend time with Emma; Jen's insecurities as a peer counselor are compounded when C.J. is assigned to train her; and Audrey, still on a destructive path, returns to Los Angeles to party with old friends including, Jack Osbourne (appearing as himself).

dawson's creek - 1/22/03

weak episode. audrey is a loser, so is the teacher, the daughter is too friendy for someone being babysat. the whole episode had jen and jack for 1 minute (one of the better characters), and dawson not at all. looks like it is going back to the old joey and pacey creek days (they're just not together).

anyone else think that pacey is going the way of boiler room? or is that just me?

I can't believe the producers even waste space on Audrey's character anymore - she's lame and, unfortunately, it looks like we get to see more of her last week. I guess Jack and Jen are the only ones that actually go to school. Dawson who? Oh, you mean the one the show is named after. I actually hope they keep the story arc of Dawson working for Todd the director - they are funny together and they both play off of each other pretty well.

It's Boiler Room all the way for the Pace-man - the girl who told him can come back though, I won't mind.

Seems to me like last week was Todd's walk into the sunset once he learned Dawson was directing the re-shoots solo.

I know, I was just holding out hope that they could keep him on the show. Especially since he is a hell of a lot more interesting than Audrey. The guy is funny and his part in the show has always been one of light entertainment. It just seemed a better addition than Joey's dumb drunk roommate.

But at least Audrey has a story arc.

Jen is a wasted payroll addition, she hasn't been relevant or needed since the first season where she played the "girl from the other side of the tracks who seduces the innocent main character"

I agree. It's funny how Audrey's character actually livened up the show somewhat last season and now she's the one who's kinda dragging it thru the mud.

Yeah..What more do you want from a good drunk.
She has played the role very well. If anyone has to deal
with this in real life. Its rings kind of true....
She conned the whole creek gang into thinking
she was on the right track. Not. She hasn't even hit
bottom even yet. Might be kind of cool if she OD'd

As for Jen. Agree sadly that they have left that
the whole side of the family out. Last season her
character as a DJ & Dawsons girl was pretty good.
And personally I liked last season alot.

Still like the series as a small guilty pleasure though.
