That actually might be among my favorite albums. It's sneaky like that. I listen to it all the time.

I guess there is differing info out there. But I suppose inxs.com would know more than wikipedia.

INXS is one of those bands that have a very solid catalog but it seems they get labeled as being 3 hit wonders.
Oh and as for my thoughts on last night, definitely Ty. He was awesome. I was also pretty impressed with Mig. He wasn't perfect but he was a helluva lot better than he was before and he was decent before. I can see him being a darkhorse choice later in the series.
So any predictions on the INXS songs that will be performed tonight by the 3 with the least votes? I'm hoping for some older or less well known songs (maybe This Time, Don't Change, and Listen Like Thieves) but I'm sure that won't happen.

First of all, there shouldn't be any women on here. You can't go from a male singer to a female singer. Second, all of these hopefuls' stage presence has American Idol written all over it. None of them had any "rockstar" qualities.
I was also a big fan of INXS way back. I wore out "Shabooh Shoobah" and "The Swing" back in college. But INXS has been out of the picture for so long that I kind of like seeing them around again. Just that is interesting to me. AND even though I think most of these singers are a bit too much, there are three of them who I think are totally capable of fronting. Will it be any good? Dunno. I'd actually love to see a girl front them. Get to see the band in a different light.
Regardless, even if this is giant failure for INXS, big whoop. What else are they doing these days?
I still like Jordis after her two performances.

Agreed. Definately be some interesting band dynamics..young up and coming metal chick..with inxs.
I wonder if she was ever a fan of INXS..or just using this oppurtunity to get her name out?

Wow, of the three that performed tonight it was a tough choice between the two on who to cut.
If possible I would have cut both of the final two tonight, the other defintely did a great rendition though.

Jordis is easily the best in my opinion. Unfortunately she has no chance of winning because a) she's too young and b) she's a female.
She'll get cut at about #3 or so, yet go on and be bigger than INXS (currenlty, not ever).

Yeah I thought Wil and Tara were both pretty craptacular. The other girl really turned it around tonight though. To me, Wil seems more like the boy band type and not a lead singer to a rock band.

Wil, Tara and Suzie got the lowest votes & each did an INXS song. Wil lost and is gone.
He seriously just stood there and sang to the chicks in the front row AGAIN. VERY lame and almost painful to watch...

Wil performed NEED YOU TONIGHT, absolutley boring showing.
The Suze sang NEVER TEAR US APART, it was obviously the best of the lot. She really does have a great voice. But I can't see her fronting the band, nor any woman for that matter.
And apparently they are showing last night's show again this Saturday after Big Brother...for those that missed it last night. Don't know if they are showing episodes 1 and 3 as well....

I was amazed at how much they managed to cram into the half-hour elimination episode (4 performances + plus the band's decision). It really only emphasized how much filler is in those American Idol elimination episodes.
We had a bit of marathon here. Watched the Monday night, Tuesday night and tonight's show all in a row.
Random thoughts:
Heather is severely knock-kneed. When she performs she looks like her knees are tied together.
Suzie - Looks like a soccer mom to me. She seems really 80's-ish, like she was actually a singer in the 80's. I know she can't be that old, but she seems old for some reason.
Daphna - Speaking of 80's, she looks exactly like the slutty girl Patrick Dempsey slept with in Can't Buy Me Love. "There's only one other titty quite this pretty."
Ty - When I first saw him, I quipped, "Doesn't he know the show isn't called Rock Star: Fishbone"? I was really disappointed when he sang Living Colour, it was such an overly obvious pick. but I like him.
Jordis - She is very good. Husband cracked me up though when he said "What is with the 'Battlefield Earth' hair?". Silly humans!
Dana - She was my first pick to get booted so I was happy she was eliminated first. I'd rather get my Kyra Sedgwick fix from watching "The Closer".
Is it just me or does Tim Farriss look like an Oompa-Loompa? Orange skin and all!
And every time I saw Kirk Pengilly, I kept thinking "What is John Waters doing in INXS?"
I got tired of hearing Brooke Burke and Dave Navarro constantly call each other "my good friend. Ok, we get it. You slept together.
So far, I am really enjoying this show.

That would have been great. This is just mugging.
The Smells Like Teen Spirit performance was only the most obvious example of what is wrong with the whole process. As Navarro said, that song and that band are sacred and using it in this sort of Star Search kind of way is a betrayal. The way the guy waved when he sang "hello hello hello" was just too pathetic for words. The show kind of died a little bit for me in that moment.

I am becoming addicted to this show. Granted some of these people have no business on stage, and Will's performance last night was one of the most horrendous performances I have seen in a show without "Idol" in its name, but it is great to hear some of these great songs getting performed on TV again.

For the record, there are three performers I'm keeping my eye on:
Brandon (the safe choice)
Neal (the wacky choice)
Jordis (the bold choice)
I think those three might go beyond my misgivings about the way the show is set up and actually make great frontpeople (?) for INXS.
I also think that Ty is an outstanding rock frontman/showman, but not for this group.
The rest are varying degrees of "no"
