Sorry, I didn't even notice that there was a TV. Any screen caps?

No, the visions are meant as a catalyst. Kate saw the horse and knew she needed to make peace. Same with Jack and his dad. Since that was resolved, they are gone.

Kate/Sawyer speculation:
Spoiler:
Is it possible they're brother and sister...with Wayne being Sawyer's Dad, too? Or maybe the con artist Sawyer was out to get? That's just a feeling I got tonight.

I'm sure there's probably something I'm forgetting that makes that impossible, but who knows...

What the F-word!? I've got a Season Pass for Lost and a Season Pass for Invasion, yet somehow, TiVo failed to record the last 4 minutes of Lost (in spite of the fact that the progress bar showed the episode to be 1:04).

Look under all the links on the left on the 'active projects' page and there's a "hidden" one called 'dharma initiative' that will play the film reel in its entirety.

Have fun!

That's actually been there for quite a while...but maybe they updated it to the "new" video that we saw tonight?

I mentioned it a couple weeks ago when the glass eye appeared at the other Dharma station, but after seeing the orientation video again, I'm convinced the glass eye belongs to Dr. Marvin Candle. Not sure that it means anything, just that he's maybe on the island.

Maybe I am just having a "slow" night, but I need some help in understanding Kate's flashbacks. Let me know if I got this right. Kate's army father is at war and mom bangs Wayne. Army-Dad comes home and lives with mom and Kate, but eventually mom picks back up with Wayne, kicks army-dad out, leaving Kate with mom and a drunken abusive Wayne (who looks at her creepily but doesn't touch her).

Kate finds out Wayne is in fact her bilogical father and can't handle this idea that she is a part of him, so she blows him up. Now whenever she looks at Saywer, she sees Wayne? Why? Because Saywer is an abusive jerk too? She also gets sick to her stomach everytime she sees Saywer and is reminded of Wayne, but somehow this is a turn-on for her, because she wants to screw Saywer?

Is that pretty much it? Am I missing something here? Am I the only one who find Kate's motivations to commit murder a little empty and lacking? I am curious to know what others think.

I love my Comcast HD DVR. It knows when shows run over and automatically was set to record 4 minutes past the hour.

Best episode of the season by a mile, on par with season 1.

Excellent episode tonight. And I agree, best episode of the season.

The show "feels" right again, and I hope it stays on track.

Great episode. I was ready to be pissed when I realized there wasn't going to be enough time to show what was on the missing piece of film, but then I noticed the episode was 4 minute longer. Whew.

I thought Kate's motivations were enough to commit murder; especially if she had had to deal with years and years of that. So what does everyone think of the horse? At first I thought it was a hallucination, but after Sawyer saw it too, I didn't know what to think.

You sure I did? That doesn't sound like something I would....umm...hey! didja hear that Bob Denver died?

Anyways...loved this ep [like most of this season]. After tonight's episode, I really don't want to see Kate with Jack. It's clear who she [and Sawyer] wants to be with. Unlike you guys, i'm glad there'll be a long break since i'm going to be stuck in California for three weeks. Having to watch the show on the TV that'll be available out there would be terribly painful.

I'd also appreciate it if someone could post Eko's story to Locke. Thanks!

The episode rocked...but NOT for Kate's flashbacks (which were boring and obvious).

Here's the wait...
Of course they had her do something which would make you sympathize with her and not make her too bad of a person.
I liked the scene on the beach between AL and Jack.

So are the Others at another station with Walt or it someone else?
Did Kate really hear her Dad through Sawyer?

Cliff's notes version: Josiah was a king of Judah, back in the days of Kings. Josiah was one of those rare kings that actually cared about God, so he sent the treasurer out to get some gold to rebuild the temple. The treasurer comes back instead with the Book of Laws (the first five books of the old testament).

Eko's point was that he stumbled similarly into the bible found at the tailaways' hatch. It had its middle cut out, in which was the missing piece of film.

(You can read more about Josiah here or visit your local library. *reading rainbow da da dum!*)

Eko's Story (transcribed, leaving out Locke's responses)

Long before Christ, the King of Judah was a man named Josiah. At that time, the temple where the people worshipped was in ruin; and so the people worshipped idols, false gods, and so the kingdom was in disarray. Josiah, since he was a good king, sent his secretary to the treasury and said 'We must rebuild the temple. Give all of the gold to the workers so this will be done.' But when the secretary returned, he had no gold. And when Josiah asked why this was, the secretary replied 'We found a book.'"

Do you know this story? What the secretary had found was an ancient book, the Book of Law. You may know it as the Old Testament. And it was with that ancient book, not with the gold, that Josiah rebuilt the temple.

On the other side of the island, we found a place much like this. And in this place, we found a book. I believe what's inside there will be of great value to you.

6 weeks is a while, but the next ep preview seems pretty interesting..
Spoiler:
Eko grabbing the virgin Mary statue and whacking it with his bashing stick.. then the heroid exploding out.. no more getting wacky for the hobbit I guess, unless he heads back to the plane.. then Eko reciting the 23rd psalm as the monster approaches.. everyone going for cover, while Eko sits there and we see the monster POV go straight to him.. and apparently Michael shoots something

This show is crack!!!

Now this is Lost, glad to see it back as normal.

Sooooo much answered, and sooooo much left to be discussed. The film Eko found, what the guy said on the film, the blast doors Michael mentioned, not using the computer for communication, Kate's Daddy issues, Kate kissing Jack, Sayer saying he loves Kate (I love you too Kate) did her Mom really give Kate up? The horse, I mean damn what a mind fuck....I love it.

Great catch above poster about Sayied on the Army TV.

If anybody cares the song Kate plays is Patsy Cline- Walkin' After Midnight

Did anybody see the Dharma logo on the horse, holy shit!

No fucking episodes till the new year, thats wack, I just think i might go Kate on somebody's ass.

Kate's army Dad was in Korea, Hmmmmmmm......

Glad to have Sawyer back.

Eko and Locke kick ass!

Very little M-Rod made me very happy

Kate is and gives me a and I want to her.

Handcuff is now off Jin, tyte!

Did anybody see the Dharma logo on Kate's Janis Joplin shirt, damn!!

Did Kate really hear her Dad through Sawyer?
Walt is getting funkier by the day - since now we know Sayid saw him, if he was really there, why didn't he just run to him and back to the main camp? Or when he was "there" mumbling the daily Jumble to Shannon. He has to be doing some weird psycho supernatural ethereal mind projections or something.. as I expect in the end he won't come back since the actor will be joining the AARP by the time the show's timeline reaches Day # 90. I think the Kate seeing abusive Dad in Sawyer was a hallucination, and part of linking to her backstory, while the horse was clearly real since Sawyer saw it too.
