OK, here's something pretty funny:
I'm watching Haven on SyFy, and they have a commercial for a new show called Viral Video Showdown. It's hosted by Kevin Periera and Adam Sessler is also going to be on the show. So starting October 30th, they're coming back to TV together.
It's also under the same corporate umbrella as G4, as SyFy is also now a Comcast channel.

Attack of the Show and X-Play have been cancelled. That will free up a lot of TV watching time for me. It'll be sad to see them go though. Maybe Spike or BBCA (with the Nerdist) will find a way to fill the void.

Huh. Those are the only actual shows with content G4 had. I guess Pereria & Sessler jumped ship at the right time.

Well that's the end of G4. Clearly the re-branding of the channel will happen around the same time.
Either that, or WWE has found their Network. One can only hope...

Lol, figures. I just started watching AOTS this summer. Xplay is...well boring as fuck, basically unwatchable. AOTS isn't anything special, but provided good background noise and some occasional eye-candy.

Love the AOTS women. But the show just wasn't the same without Kevin. It's like when John Henson left Talk Soup. It was still acceptable entertainment. But, with both of those guys, I used to laugh to crying and coughing. They are quick witted, sarcastic, unsafe and identified with my sense of humor. The "guest" hosts were just too safe and boring.

Sad news. Oh well, here's a pic of Sara Underwood:

It's was a good run, but it might make it easier to kick cable to the cable at the end of the year, and just go internet-only.

Le sigh. G4 was always my power on channel for the box.

Re: Attack of the Show appreciation thread
I'm a little curious as to if when the channel re-brands itself if they don't do an AOTS type show that fits the new format. Remember it was Screen Savers with TechTV then was changed to Attack of the Show with G4.
Still sad though, as I have been watching AOTS since right after Keven Rose left. Today's version is nothing like when I started watching in 2005.

Both Kevin Pereira and Chris Hardwick made quick appearances on the show this week. I wonder if they were around to record some stuff for the final episodes.
