Re: Attack of the Show appreciation thread

So are all of these guys moving onto another cable tech show? I can't imagine that someone like SyFi Channel would NOT be working on something to replace Attack of the Show.

Like I wrote before - there's not a lot of people out there who can make you laugh again and again. But this show had a great chemistry. Laughing was really where the entertainment was. Mix that with watching geeky stuff like Around the Net, getting great people to interview, the women (whether or not they are pretending to be nerds), etc.

Re: Attack of the Show appreciation thread

I can remember how nervous Matt Mira was when they first had him on the show, but now his interviews crack me up, no matter who the guests are.

Re: Attack of the Show appreciation thread

Wow, AOTS is letting it all hang out, literally.

For the last two shows, the guests have both dropped their pants and exposed themselves on the show, though in both cases it was blurred out.

Comedian Eric Andre dropped his pants on Tuesday to reveal a pair of boxers with a penis drawn on them. He then dropped the boxers. None of this was actually seen on TV, as they blurred the whole screen, and even bleeped out about 10-15 seconds straight.

On Wednesday, it was TJ Miller, who dropped his pants, followed by his boxers and proceeded to fornicate with the on set Christmas Tree. While not showing his junk, there were brief glimpses of his ass between various blurring techniques.

Now this is the kind of stuff that happens when a live show has around 2 weeks left. Of course, why can't it be Candace and Sarah showing the goods? C'mon, time is running out girls!

Re: Attack of the Show appreciation thread

If you've ever wondered what AOTS with Kevin, Candace, and Sara would be like without a network filter, wonder no longer.

Kevin had both girls on his podcast a few days ago and it got r-rated very quickly. It's worth noting how negatively they speak about the network and the show over the last year.

Also, the last AOTS will not be live, but taped, and several 'best-of' shows will air throughout January with Chris Hardwick as host.

It's a fun conversation and nice to hear them discuss everything so openly and without a censor button.

Wow, this podcast is a long one, about half-way through, very entertaining.

Re: Attack of the Show appreciation thread

That was entertaining. I didn't really care for Kevin after he took over on AOTS but he went on Leo Laporte's pod cast "This Week In tech" and totally enjoyed his appearance and got a new perspective on him. For those who don't know, Leo was one of the original host of Screensavers, which AOTS took over and everybody thought that Kevin and Leo hated each other but it was pretty cool how they talked about the transition.

Thanks for posting the podcast. Can't believe I watched the whole 3 hours. Hope they can put together that reunion finale they were talking about.

Re: Attack of the Show appreciation thread

The show was on life support once Olivia Munn left. Much as I dislike her, she kept the show afloat. I doubt anyone expected it to live on without Kevin Pereira. He's the only reason why I watched, even though insufferable co-hosts like Alison Haislip and the occasional models.

I listened to the podcast. Really enjoyed it. Is there anything on the video that needs to be seen?

Also listened to it first before seeing the video, but worth skipping around for some of the videos they were talking about, a few Sara Underwood cleavage closeups + some quick motorboating by Candace... :P

Re: Attack of the Show appreciation thread

It was funny to find out that G4 banned the motorboating, too much of a p-tease for the average AOTS viewer, I guess.

Re: Attack of the Show appreciation thread

That was an anti-climatic ending last night, as they gave the hosts about 30 seconds to say goodbye? Bizarre....

Re: Attack of the Show appreciation thread

Apparently they are filming the last episode of AOTS today and it will air in late January (according to Bailey & Underwoods Twitter feeds).

Re: Attack of the Show appreciation thread

Yeah, they were talking about that on Kevin's podcast. Shitty that one of the few live shows is not even getting a live final episode. They were both pretty pissed about it.

Re: Attack of the Show appreciation thread

Just bumping this as a reminder.

The final episodes of both X-Play and Attack Of The Show will be airing later today. Both are 1 hour long and are not live.

So if you wanted one last look at G4 before it gets swallowed up and regurgitated into something for metrosexuals, this is it!

I thought the last few minutes of AOTS was great.
