Last night was an awfully entertaining episode. It would have been so much better had I not been watching After Dark and knew the veto was going to be used. Brian got way too cocky way too quick and it certainly looks like he's going to pay for it.

I actually really enjoyed seeing Renny put Jesse in his place about the whole apology thing. She did apologize multiple times. He was just being a baby, like she said, and didn't want to accept an apology. What did he want? Someone to read him a bedtime story?

That veto competition was crazy!! That looked exhausting. I dont understand why Memphis and that other girl (Portugese) were trying so hard. You dont want to win the veto comp this early on and make enemies and show your strength. Lay low.

Renny is a "hot mess". LOL. I understand maybe half of what she says. She is a piece of work.

That coup was amazing. I dont think I remember anything like that so early in the game. I was loving them being all up there when Jerry came. He certainly got ambushed. And the turn on Brian was great game play. What an ass. To go in there this early in the comp and play the leader? They caught on to him big time and it was great!

I am enjoying this season. There are a lot of people with game.

Yeah, Brian obviously thinks of himself as the second coming of Dr. Will. And while he's no dummy, he's no Dr. Will. He simply allowed his huge over-inflated ego to destroy his game. If he had kept his mouth shut iso going around boasting to everyone who would listen how he controls the game, he would have been in a position to actually be what he claimed to be. Putz.

S'long Brian.

Waiting for the bikini competitions to come out before totally shutting the doors on the ladies as BB did go out of their way to cast some boob-laden house guests this season.

Keesha is probably what Danielle will look like in 5 years time, Angie's very cute (but I fear she doesn't have "game" inside the BB house), and April looks like a younger version of Ros Myers on "Spooks" (airs on BBC)

at them getting the blonde girl (don't know her name yet) to go ask Jerry to use his bathroom to get him upstairs.

Great episode.

I am going to try and stray from spoilers this season (I always say that...) because the episode was just much more entertaining.

I don't think Renny creates drama as much as she creates incomprehensible lunacy.

Regarding Michelle, they really haven't done her justice by showing how manipulative and overbearing she is. The spoiler really doesn't give a lot away.

Spoiler:
They may show her trying to comfort 'Angie' on tonights episode. I hope they do because as I was watching AD on Monday night, I wanted to punch her in the face.

And I'm not a violent man!

I haven't watch the show since Evil Dick but I'm digging this group so far. Ollie will be in confession a lot once this is all over. The guy clearly has the hots for April and her big bossom

Brian is smart but he was plotting way too soon. Chill bro!! It's only the first week

Other then Renny nobody seems to be really annoying.

I actually like Jesse and his laid back manner

That one brunette ? with the "rain man" brother is cute and she looks a bit like Tia Carerre

I'm hooked already for the summer

PS Julie Chen is still annoying and what's with her face?? Has she been to Michael Jackson's plastic surgery??

Is American a background? I've never heard anyone use that term before, but it makes sense. How many generations would have to live in the US before you transition from British or French or something else to American?

Bye bye Brian, its nice to see the house isn't stupid. I hate the idea of April and Ollie together, but hey whats Big Brother without a good showmance. Jesse will probably be gunning for Renny without hesitation.

Apparently Brian is, though. He started making alliances way too soon - he put a big target on his back. Campaiging to get Jesse out is one thing, but telling people they owe you favors and that you'll keep them safe because you run the house is a bad idea. At least in week 1.

He tried to be a Will and manipulate the house, but he's not very good at it and he tried it too early.

Brian wasn't quite as bad as they portrayed him on the show (though to be fair we didn't see any live feeds until after he was nominated). Either way he did seriously overplay. The trick is to be the decision maker with nobody knowing that you are the decision maker (very hard to pull off...Eric did it for a while last year until the banner sunk him). At least he has a sense of humor about it, and I thought he went out with class.

Some of those girls are pretty insufferable so hopefully we'll see that in the next few shows. Angie seems pretty cool though (even if she does smoke like a chimney)....and the Moon Bloodgood comparison does her credit.

And Mr. Payroll, you're not the only one who wants to punch Michelle in the face. I wish Keesha would have done it last night.

This has to be the boobiest cast ever in BB history.

I really want Libra out of the house.

I'm glad you brought that up again. The Big Brother show on CBS has not done her justice yet. She seems to incite people with her in the face 'trying to fix things'.

That fight between Keesha & April that was shown tonight was a lot worse live on BBAD. And of course Michelle has to get in Keesha's face trying to make things better and all she did was make Keesha more mad.

It's like Michelle has to be involved in everything that is going on around the house.

Mark my word fellow DVD Talkers, you will soon see how much of a beeotch Michelle is.

With his comment to Julie that Memphis is a shoo-in for winner, Brian confirmed he also made the mistake of underestimating the women in the house. He still didn't realize that Libra orchestrated his ouster. If she can keep from being smug -- and her mouth shut -- she's most-likely-to-win at this point.

There's already African American and I never heard African Jamaican, African Icelandic, or African English. So, American it is.

Unfortunately, it looks like the more interesting people are going first. I do hope Steven, Angie, and Dan get a chance to mix with some of the others and perhaps there could be a connection with Memphis and Jessie and maybe Keesha.

I can't stand April, Sagittarius, Michelle or Renny.

I wouldn't mind seeing Jerry go next.

First, his voice gets on my nerves and second, what kind of idiot thinks that just because he doesn't wear his military uniform when he goes back on his word, that it makes everything ok?

I also do not think he went back on his word with Brian. Brian clearly was in another alliance that didn't include Jerry and was manipulating him for the benefit of his other alliance. As far as I am concerned all bets are off if you are being deceiptful like that. So, Jerry didn't go back on his word and had nothing to be ashamed of.

Still, his military 'pride' is totally misplaced and he really doesn't know the meaning of the keeping your word, which basically means, let your 'yes be yes' and your 'no be no', regardless of what uniform you are wearing.

I don't understand why these people don't say that more often. If things change (i.e. the truth comes out) then it's not going back on your word. If you just change your mind just because it might suit you better than that is going back on your word. I think this is what Jerry was trying to portray. There was a very good reason to change his mind but still, he didn't want to do it in military garb. I commend him.

Watching the show last night, the whole time seeing Jessie the body builder reminded me of that character Hades from the Disney movie Hercules. (I'm not sure how to put a side by side pix up but I think his head and facial features are a spittin' image.)
