One of the best Simpsons episode in a while. Flight of the Conchords makes everything better.

Only part I laughed at was when Maggie got the pacifier...otherwise a very boring episode.

Pointless. Needless celebrity cameos from a show that's getting better rating than the Simpsons, and the weakest B story in years. It was almost like watching an episode produced from an initial story idea that was never fully worked out. They must have literally said "what's the most popular fox property we can leech off of" and "but we need something for Homer and Bart to do too", wrote a quick treatment, and fleshed it out with a few songs.

Before the episode I was annoyed with all the cross promotion with Glee and then the Glee portion was like 5 mins of the episode. .. Not that I'm a Glee fan

I enjoyed a lot of the sight gags, like the Euro Cuffs. The couch gag was pretty good. The Electric Company scene was good.

The stories were meh and the Glee pimping was bait and switch.

Vote for not good - I'm not a fan of flight of the Concords... and for such an obscure guest star - they had a ton of screen time.

Most other guest stars, are in for just one or two bits - these guys were 1/2 the show

You can tell the producers have gone in almost the complete opposite direction from a decade ago on the show. The stories for the most part are coherent and they do not seem to be as pressured to throw in random jokes. But they simply are forgetting to bring many funny one-liners into the show now, relying on the enhanced picture quality of HD to wow us with new settings. Does anything happen in Springfield anymore?

The song with Lisa using the Beach Boys' classic was entertaining, but not a lot of memorable jokes in the episode. A half-hearted attempt that felt like outside influence (Fox's interference possibly) was the reason an obscure musical act and more pointless cameos were inserted for the premiere.

Agreed. Sometime in Season 20 and to a great extent in Season 21 the show really returned to good, coherent storytelling with a strong beginning, middle, and end.

I disagree. I think last season (Season 21) was very consistently funny. I enjoyed it a lot and am looking forward to watching it on DVD. Much better than previous seasons during the Great Simpsons Slump. This episode wasn't the best ever, but it had some humorous moments. If they can keep up what they started last season though, it's definitely a good thing.
