Who wants to bet the finale was just 45-47 minutes with AMC milking the ad time? There were a lot of commercials. Last week felt longer.

I can understand why they wouldn't search the car. They know they plan on killing him and think that he doesn't know that. They think he thinks he's there to try to sell a plan. They would be able to kill him before he reached for anything in the trunk so they wouldn't worry about looking in it. That's why he looked in the back seat before he got in.

Maybe predictable is the wrong word, but crowd pleaser?

The good guys all won, and the bad guys died in proper fashion. Not sure if that qualifies it as predictable or not

What more was really needed though? A monkey wrench thrown into the last episode just for the hell of it and to surprise the viewers? The time for that had passed at this point and the show already had it's share of those moments. Tonight was about finality which is what we got.

I really want that complete series set now. I need to see that 2 hour documentary on the making of the series.

That's where we differ. I much prefer the more character driver "slow burn" shows like The Sopranos or Mad Men compared to the "END ON A CLIFFHANGER SO PEOPLE WATCH THE NEXT ONE" like Breaking Bad, 24, etc.

Different strokes...

Vince just said on Talking Bad there is a shit load of extras on that set including the script for some unshot scenes from the finale on the BD.

It was exactly 55 minutes, including credits.

Perfect scene from the finale was Walt finally admitting he did everything for himself to Skyler and not the family.

Au contraire. You didn't notice that Walt died in the cruciform and suffered one of Christ's wounds, particularly the pierced side? A little hint as to how Vince Gilligan regard's Walt's true character?

Re: Breaking Bad --> Series Finale --> "Felina" --> 9/29/13

Loved it. The first half was so methodical - basically several little vignettes of Walt tying up loose ends. Then the showdown at the camp to close it out. Several great moments, but my favorite might have to be the exchange between Walt and Skylar. Just loved how that scene was introduced with the reveal of Walt standing behind the pillar.

Really great stuff tonight. Plan to watch it again tomorrow.

For a moment at the end I thought Walt was going to go out on a meth high for the first time using the product he designed.

Re: Breaking Bad --> Series Finale --> "Felina" --> 9/29/13

Fantastic. It may not have been the best episode of the series, but it was still excellent and was VERY satisfying.

I loved how he used Gretchen and the husband. Smart move.
The minute I saw the 2 red dots on them, I knew Skinny Pete and Badger were there. Great to see them in the finale.

LOVED how Walt finally admitted he was thinking for himself all along and that it came down to him feeling alive - as opposed to how unhappy he was wasting his potential as a high school teacher.

Nice to see Lydia get hers. I guess Lydia picked the same spot she always does to sit... and Walt ensured that it was the only table that had the the Stevia... and just one packet to ensure Lydia doesn't take the non-ricin one, while others in the coffee shop don't take any (which is probably rare).

I smiled when the gang was taken down, and almost cheered when Jesse strangled Todd.
Also liked how Walt didn't even care about what Jack had to say about the money. BANG!

I still felt bad for Jesse. Great that he's free and ready to move on with his life, but he comes away with no money (although his guilt made him give it away earlier anyway) and he has to live with the guilt of being partially responsible for the death of both girlfriends and leaving a kid without a mother.

I knew Walt would die by the bullet by the song at the beginning when he steals the car - "Maybe tomorrow a bullet will find me".

I don't consider this a Hollywood ending. Walt's family may have been taken care of, but the damage done is irreversible - ie. Hank's death, a family without their father, etc. Jesse is also being punished even though he's gotten away and is "free". There were bad guys everywhere and Jack's gang just got a different form of punishment that Walt and Jesse got. I think it was fitting

Sad to see it end, but it's great that it went out on top.

I really liked how they brought closure to Walt and Jesse. Was so glad it didn't end with them killing each other and that Walt wound up saving him just out of finally feeling bad for what he's brought on to Jesse's life.

Finally a series finale done right!

This seals it as one the greatest TV series of all time. Fantastic!

I loved every moment of it. I didn't think Jesse would make it out alive and I wondered what his condition would be after several months in captivty. That didn't disappoint. Was also surprised by the use of Elliot and Gretchen. That was brilliant with the Badger and Skinny Pete. So amazing. What a performance from Bryan Cranston. Excellent all around. Just brilliant.

Seasons 4 thru the first half of 6 were average at best for me. It redeemed it self with that final half season. The Sopranos is still a top 5 show for me but those seasons are why I can never say it was the best show ever.

Yes, that was great. I also liked how Walt looked Jesse up and down when he was brought in in shackles and looking like he went through hell. You knew at that point Walt felt bad for everything he put Jesse through.

Loved it. I thought for a second Jesse was going to run over Walt with the car.

I thought it was perfect.

I think the "ending" to breaking bad started two episodes ago, and the last three episodes can be considered together. I couldn't have imagined a better ending throughout the three, and the whole season has been great.

My question is WHY would they want to kill him? They let him go in the desert just to kill him later?

I like how everyone is saying how predictable the ending was when all everyones been doing the last couple of weeks is guessing how it will end.

It was 55 minutes

Now how did Walt get the ricin in a CLOSED packet and then close it back up again to make it look like it was never opened???

The Sopranos was also great throughout it's run and I'm one of the few that liked the ending. Like life, the show always left plots unresolved (the Russian for example) and that was the proper ending although to me it was obvious Tony was killed by the guy in the members only jacket.

I really don't see how that's relevant at all.

It was a predictable ending (not the details of it, but just in general), though not in a bad way, because it was satisfying and made sense.. It really couldn't have ended any other way without being as satisfying as it was.
