The way the cast is lined up in that picture reminds me of LOST.

I just got caught up on this on Netflix. I had stopped watching mid season two, but always meant to come back to it. Now I am ready for the season premiere.

Yeah, but in the finale of Walking Dead when Rick wakes up from the coma and you find out it was all a bad dream it still won't be as shit as the finale of Lost.

Last season's premiere had 16.11 million total viewers, which if cable shows were combined with broadcast TV shows to determine overall ratings, it would easily have put that episode in the Top-10 and probably Top-5 shows on all of TV for that week.
Any guess on how many total viewers this season's premiere will draw? Higher? Lower? Or about the same?

The cast is getting big, and AMC is notoriously cheap. I expect a lot of the minor characters to be killed off this season.

As this show is a license to print money, they might be willing to throw more money at it. Though given that they dumped 35mm for Mad Men, I have a nagging feeling the 16mm for this won't be far behind.

I'm watching the previous finale now before the premier and beginning where Rick
it seems like some of the scenes after were edited. Possible? Anybody else watching think that?

Very good premiere. This show usually delivers on premieres and finales for me, but the in-between is where it falls short. I really appreciate that they didn't give us an entire season in Terminus. It would've felt like a tedious rehash of spending an entire season at the farm, prison, and Woodbury that didn't necessarily drive the story forward. I'm looking forward to seeing where they're taking this season.
They really upped the action and gore too. I figured none of the main cast would die in that first scene, but it was incredibly tense. This show really pushes the boundaries as far as depictions of violence for television. I was never a huge fan of Carol, but I'm really glad she's back. WTF @ Tyrese though? Did he really not kill that guy after all of that?
Loved the reveal of Morgan at the end. Is Rick the one who left the circle with an x carved into the tree for him? I must have missed something in an earlier episode because I don't remember that being mentioned.
