I guess I’ve been ok with them, but they do feel long, especially when there’s only one challenge.

I'm getting sick of the of the one person from each tribe going off for some stupid puzzle that usually no one can do. Then they end up losing their vote and have to go back to their tribe and try to lie about. I remember the days on Survivor when everyone got a vote when they went to tribal. Too many stupid gimmicks are ruining the game. Now they have some deal where they find an immunity idol but it's locked in a box and they don't get the key until they lose a challenge or something. I think they lose their vote too but does it really matter if they're not going to tribal? That's when my mind starts to tune out and can't keep track of who has what.

And we thought Jelinsky was the worst player ever.

I've always enjoyed this show but this season is awful. I can't even get thru the 2nd episode. I don't think I'm even going to bother at this point. The people are awful and the episodes are way too long.

No. They are both bad players. Bhanu has the added bonus of being an emotional basket case. For a minute there near the end I was wondering if he was gonna take a machete to his tribemates.

This season is unrelentingly boring. This is what castrated Survivor looks like. Over the past few years watching Survivor has become a task to complete rather than something to look forward to and enjoy. And get used to it folks, because apparently Probst thinks this is exactly what the show should be. Don’t say you weren’t warned.

Well, this is disappointing news. I've seen every episode and used to watch it live, but I agree it's become a task to watch the last few years. So much so that I usually record it and view it in Quick Mode on my Tivo so I can watch it faster. Not only is this season's cast dull, but the longer episodes add to the boredom. And for a few seasons now, the show has been set in Fiji every time rather than treating viewers to a new location each season. And I hate knowing that every season is going to come down to a fire-making contest. I wish they'd eliminate that and just have 2 contestants at the end because history has shown that when there are 3 one of the contestants gets no votes (or very few) to be the winner, so what's the point of having 3?

The point is to make it harder for their favorites to not win. The same reason they started doing the F4 firemaking challenge when they wanted Ben to win.
