There was an initial wave of Marvel Legends late last year, but they have a second wave coming out right now (with some deep cuts as far as 90s X-men characters go) coinciding with this release. So they'll have merch out there. The movies and their changing release dates (in addition to supply chain issues) are what really screwed the toys over in that they were already on clearance before the movies were out, and only one wave to boot.

This was greenlit under the Victoria Alonso regime and I don't imagine it will get any further seasons.
The toys have been showing up for dirt cheap prices at places like Ollie's and Ross for months.

Seems the only thing claimed so far is that he was "difficult to work with". That could be code for anything (from being uncompromising, temperamental, engaged in harassment, or worse).

Supposedly it's not an explicit only fans account. It is still weird the way he was fired and the timing. I'm guessing Disney got ahead of the ball this time. But odd it hasn't come out whatever it is that he did.

Is it straight up mining nostalgia? Yes.
Is it the best thing to come out of Marvel since Avengers: Endgame? Also yes.
Looks like they are jumping into some classic story lines.

But, are these newly created episodes or just episodes that were not seen when it originally aired?

Does '97 refer to how many characters are in the show?

Alright I just watched both episodes. I haven't regularly watched an animated show in many years. But, it did feel like watching an old school Saturday morning superhero cartoon.
And wow that ending. So that was Jean at the door? Who the hell had Scott's baby? Is that a plot thread I'm missing?
