Does anyone know if you can get your deposit refunded if you cancel your order? I'm still on the fence about the 360 yet I have a feeling that I'm going to be in line for one come November. Pre-ordering would at least mean I could avoid all of that.

Most places will allow that. Ask before you commit.

maybe we should start a poll or something to see what launch day titles people will be buying.
Sounds like a new thread....maybe when release date is a little closer and MORE release titles are announced. Yeah, I'm excited

I've been on the fence enough about this that i will probably wait till spring to pick up the version with eh hard drive. I'm jonesing for the Elder Scrolls game though and would be happy if it just wasn't as brown looking as much of Morrowind. Well that and eliminate or reduce the ridiculous load time of Morrowind.

Does anyone know if you'll be able to transfer saves from your xbox to the 360? The memory cards are different so maybe by connecting them with an ethernet cable? I'd hate to have to start all my xbox games over.

The 360 is supposed to be sort of like a media center right so I assume you'll be able to access files off of your PC correct me if I'm dead wrong, but I am guessing that the 360 will be able to detect an Xbox on a network and allow you to copy files over to the 360.

I don't remember where I read it, but they said you would not be able to transfer Xbox saves over to it.

If that's true, I guess I won't be buying any XBOX games between now and then. No need to make progress in one just to have to start over in Nov. With my setup I won't be able to have both of them connected at the same time.

For halo, most reviewers rightfully gushed over it at the time, it was definitely THE xbox launch title. I remember playing the coop mode with my house mate (we spent hours on that completing every difficulty) and thinking 'Best game ever..'. In many ways it was at the time.

Dead or Alive 3 would have done fairly well as a launch title I assume, it certainly looked good back then.

My guess is that 'origen' is going to stand for 'Original Generation', and that it will be some sort of further info about backwards compatibility.
I just rechecked the origen site since it first debuted, and I noticed three changes. The rabbit sign has moved, there appears to be some type of hole developing below the tree, and the are two greenish fruit things growing up in the leaves.

At the end of the countdown a middle finger is going to pop up on the screen with the message "Quit wasting time and get back to work!" Either that or Bill Gates is finally going to give us all that free trip to Disney World from that email forward I sent 5 years ago.

I went to my local Gamestop last night. They are taking pre-orders for the system and games by themselves. No bundle needed. I put money down on the $399 system package, Oblivion, DOA4, and Perfect Dark. I'll probably end up getting Tiger Woods at launch too if it is a launch title.

Yep, I pre-ordered my 360 at GameRush. $100 deposit needed and only 10 per store. Glad I got it though...I was #1 on the list.

No bundles needed, so that was a good thing. I'm sure I'll pre-order games there for the 360 also, especially when I trade my old XBOX games back in.

They forgot to list number 30...

30. A live-in nurse assigned to your residence to help assisst you in the activities of daily living while you play through the 20 games you felt the need to buy all at once. This nurse will administer an intra-venous line giving you a continuous flow of the essential nutrients; passively mobilize your legs to keep the blood circulating down and back up to the heart; change your diapers when they have been soiled from your bowels, urine, or an OMEGA combination of both. The nurse will arrive within 24 hours of your purchase. Please specify the gender of your choice.

This is a relief...somewhat.

One more question. Will the nurse give me happy endings? If so, I have to order this bundle.

I've been trying. Two codes so far.

Now's the time to get 'em in too. Each sweeps I signed up for only had about 500 entries. The numbers are only going to grow out of control as the contest progresses.

Yeah, I signed up for a contest tomorrow....I know people are already abusing the program though, I guess you can get free codes through the e-mail and people are creating like 20 different e-mail addresses and having people refer them.

I would like to get a free one, but I already have one pre-ordered at GameRush with credit I've built up over the past year

I'm probably going to pick up Madden and Call of Duty 2 for the 360 at launch. Can't wait.

Yeah, I'll probably get Madden for 360 also.....it'll be time to retire my XBOX version anyways. I'm already almost through season two in my franchise....thus, I can start over
