While the weather channel and Browser channel are cool indeed I dont think we will be using them after 2-3 months. It is good that nintendo is keeping what they promised though, but nothing that makes it stand out.

You can't "pause" a game and switch to the browser, can you? That functionality would make web browsing more useful, letting you say... look for hints on a game right away or something.

Got the Wii hooked up at my friend's place, and we played for 3 hours yesterday, and then another 3 hours today, and let me tell you, I think I have tennis elbow already, and might have pulled a hammy. We have almost knocked holes in the walls and corners of walls with our swings while playing tennis, but it's been a blast. My left arm is sore as hell, especially the shoulder. Tennis and bowling have been the funnest multi-player games for us. I love the Mii's that my friend and I created for gameplay, just bumps up the fun level.

Ok, stupid question here...I've been playing the first few missions of Elebits, but I can't figure out how to play the multiplayer mode. I can't get the other wiimotes to show up on the multiplayer menu screen, just the first one for player 1.

It did shut off when I turned it on and off.

I can see myself browsing some stuff here and there with the system if I am feeling lazy. It was neat showing my wife various youtube vids on the TV. I did lock up the system while testing the water at an adult site. It's the porno version of youtube but the vids wouldn't play and when I went to go back a page the whole think froze on me. I guess I got greedy and should of been happy with the naked pictures. Oh well.

Played almost 5 hours of tennis on the Wii last night, but at least we alternated doubles between 3 players, so the load was a little less. We had a blast and my friend's wife got to play, and now she's rather insistent that my friend get them a Wii because she's having so much fun with playing, and watching people play on the Wii. We even created a Mii for the wife (not without some giggling from giving her some questionable facial and body features in a joking manner until we finally arrived at her Mii).
Towards the last hour, we were some hurting pups, I couldn't play the net because I was so tired and couldn't quite play the right stroke in time. We had some killer rallies, and the focus on the point in those rallies were very reminiscent to old times on the tennis court.
I'm going to need to invest in some icy-hot soon...

I will be opening my Wii in just a few short hours.
I got 5 games to go along with it, thanks to an online bundle. Zelda, Madden, Tony Hawk, Call of Duty 3, and Marvel: Ultimate Alliance. I'm almost 100% I will keep Zelda, and Madden, and exchange the others for Elebits, Trauma Center, and ExciteTruck. I might keep Tony Hawk though, and just buy one of those three. Who knows what I'll do.

I actually strained my elbow a bit pitching in Wii baseball my first night...using muscles that don't really get used much in real life. By day 2, I figured out that flicks of the wrist were less painful...not to mention more effective...in Baseball and Tennis. It takes the realism out of the game a bit since you aren't doing the "real" motions, but its still just as fun.
Right now, I'm mostly looking forward to not having to play covertly after the boy goes to bed. My Wii playing can come out of the closet...as it were.

Man, I've been playing around with my Wii since about 8:30, and it's currently 12:30. I LOVE it. It is amazing. My mom got ahold of it and boxing, and she was like 'one more game, one more game!' and she hasn't played many games since I was born. She was really getting into it and laughing and throwing her hands up when she got a strike. Nintendo is on to something big here, folks.
I haven't even touched Zelda or Madden yet. Having too much fun with Wii Sports, and almost too sore now.
to Nintendo.
