I think the Elite is a pretty good deal currently if you want Halo 3 and Fable 2. Plus, you get the official audio dongle to use with the HDMI cable. I just split open the MS component cable and that works fine with an HDMI cable, but still a tight fit.
Still looking for a cheap Wireless Adapter though

I didn't get picked for the preview Anybody here make it in?
The Monkey Island items are awesome! I would never pay for those things, but as unlockables it would be excellent.

I got the link to work while I was at work, but I must have previously made an error when tatooing my 360's serial number to my arm, because the number I used wasn't accepted.

That guy's been on XBL for six years, hasn't cracked 10,000 gamerscore yet, and has never finished any of the 130 games he's played? Someone send him a copy of Avatar, pronto.

I'm not a completionist and won't play King Kong or Avatar to just get a quick 1000. It never seemed that important to me.

I've just barely passed 10,000 and I don't think i've gotten 1000 points in any game either.

Hey, what can I say, I'm an achievement whore. I notice these things.
Speaking of which, that achievement tracking looks nice. That's what I'm most looking forward to in the new update.

So, any deals on the wireless adapter? Is anyone using alternative adapters on their 360?
Semi-related: Since I don't have wireless on this 360 yet, I was going to hook up a USB drive to play some movies I have. I tried a WD Passport (albeit a 60GB drive that was formerly the PS3 drive when I swapped it out) and it does not work. The drive has been formatted to FAT32. I wonder if it is a power issue with the 360. I tried the front and rear USB port and multiple cables and still no luck. It's not a big deal at this point, but I would like for it to work. I know my 512MB USB drive worked...and I update to NXE using that.

Alright, let's be fair to these guys. We have only been able to get gamerscore though for just under 4 years now. But 1540 since the start, what do you do play like 10 minutes a day and say you are good to go and turn the system off Thx for the direct link to your gamercard, love the country rank of 1,227,915. Sorry could not resist.

Trevor, you've played a total of 17 games in two and a half years? And that's including Yaris?

I also game a lot on my iPhone, and a little on my PC, GameCube, Genesis, and PS3. But yeah, I'm pretty much a non-gamer compared to all of you.
Sadly, I buy a heck of a lot more than what I play. I have a shelf of perhaps 100 unplayed console games, that part of me thinks I'll get to someday.
Edit to add: And yeah, I had to spend a few minutes on Yaris to see just how bad it was.

Maybe you can help. I followed the guidelines on how to do this. For this first two or three days, all video games and all from my recommendations list. And ever since then, it's been random crap that I would never want, nothing on my recommendation list. Have you been able to keep it going?

I still get random crap in my Gold Box but for the most part all the quick picks have been all BD and VG related.
I just went through my account and selected "do not use for recommendations" for everything but BD and game related stuff.
