PhysX is the biggest graphical difference, but the PC is still able to handle much higher resolutions and more anti-aliasing than the consoles can.

I'm sure it'll look better on PC (which is why I tend to look for cross platform games on PC) but I know I'll feel like I'm missing out not having an nVidia card. Shame ATi never bothered developing a PhysX equivalent.

Re: Batman: Arkham City Thread

My Robin code worked find as well.

Man, I'm not going to lie -- I'm finding this game a little overwhelming. Arkham Asylum was a trickle in how they exposed the areas to you, but in City you're just there. There is so much to see, and what's more, so much happening. I'm looking for a certain bad guy now, but then there is another bad guy calling me, and then another citizen screaming for me to come help them.

Is the CE actually rare? The PS3 version isn't available on Amazon or Gamestop anymore.

from what i read, MS did something to screw up the release of content for some people, so that's why i was getting invalid code.

Don’t know if Kmart didn’t get many in or they are going this fast, but I picked up the last copy at mine during lunch today. So you might want to call before making the trip out there.

By the way guys, if you can get the cans/bottles of NOS energy drink with the codes on them you can use the point from the can to get the Batman Beyond skin for either 360 or ps3

But you get points for posting a pic of the costume.

Yeah, while you don't need to have played the first game to understand the story or anything, AC assumes you have still played it because it basically offers no learning curve at all. Right from the beginning you are thrown in with no sense of where you really need to be going.

The sheer number of sidequests is mind boggling compared to AA. I am watching a Let's Play on youtube, and the guy playing is about four hours in and has probably spent three of those four hours just doing sidequests. He has progressed in the main story very very little.

that sounds awesome.

sometimes, like in Red Dead, the sidequests can make the overall game experience so much better. i can't tell you how many hours i spent just hunting animals, not even caring about story progression for hours at a time.

your little bit up there has me itching.

Interesting. I went to mine and they only had enough for pre-orders. Same for all the Gamestops. Toys R Us isn't carrying it around here. For the PS3 version, Amazon is sold out online, Gamestop is sold out online, Walmart is sold out online, Newegg is sold out online. Seems only Best Buy and Toys R Us have any of the PS3 in stock online.

I agree with this as well, the scope is huge.

Anyone else thinking the game is holding your hand too much though? I have hints turned off, but its still telling me way too much, for ex. telling me to go into detective mode and use batarang on this or that.

Re: Batman: Arkham City Thread

So, if I go to Gamestop or Best Buy to buy it today, will I get the DLC or did it have to be preorders?

Re: Batman: Arkham City Thread

Newegg has a promo code for $10 off Arkham City. As much as I want to get the PC version, waiting another month is torture already.

I am thinking of biting on that newegg deal. I could probably sell it on ebay in a month and recoup most of my cost anyway, and then buy the PC version.

Re: Batman: Arkham City Thread

Attention everyone : There is not a need to start a new thread every single time you have a code to give away! This thread should suffice.

To that end : My hospital actually stocks that NOS swill (I'm convinced the product name is short for Nausea). I'll give away a code for the Batman Beyond skin of the users' choice of system. In honor of the previous thread-starting poster who turned it into a masturbatory photo quest : I'll give it to the first person who posts a picture of Bridget Fonda in her Jackie Brown bikini top.

The Gamestop one was for pre-orders, but if it's one that prints out on the receipt you might be able to get the clerk to print you one if you buy the game. On CAG it seemed like the Best Buy one was included inside the package, so if they have any on the shelf you should be able to get that one.

I picked up a NOS when I was out today for the rewards code, and my Wal-Mart pre-order arrived while I was gone.

I'll just go ahead and add this one before someone asks...
