Is this forum moving from 360 to PS3?

Re: Is this forum moving from 360 to PS3?
I haven't read anything above me here, but I find my gaming partners elsewhere. Between the Signed In forums, 8BB, and TrueAchievements, I find enough people that are ready to play. I've tried many times to get things going here, but it always just falls apart (see the fact we've never got those Beatles sessions going).
As far as sharing news and discussion, I feel like I'm still here for that and putting forth the effort. But, overall it has died down a lot.

I honestly think that has more to do with it, than trending a certain way or another. I think the Warhawk thread gathered us initially, but, for the most part, the core group, who post and play weekly, just enjoy playing with each other and talking trash. So on the off days, we continue that in those threads. So we spun off into another thread, which is not informative or helpful in any way, shape or form…

I just use the "Gaming Sessions" over at TrueAchievements.com for stuff like that.

Having all three systems as well, I do most of my gaming on the 360 too. I think most of the games run smoother and I like the controller better too. I also like how you can see what others are playing as well (with the DVDtalk list). I leave most of my PS3 gaming for exclusive titles only and since it’s a launch unit I want it to last as long as possible. And since we moved the Wii to another room in the house, it actually gets powered on once in a while now too.

I'm still a 360 stalwart for no good reason other than the fact that I prefer the controller. I own no games for the PS3 as the few exclusives I wanted to try never came down in price before I got sick of waiting. And the Wii is strictly for the kids as I can't stand the motion controllers which has me worried about the impending shift to Move and Kinect.

I'm still a mainly 360 guy and I own all three major consoles. I've only had one red ring in 4 years, but had two drives fail on me on the ps3 and I mainly only use it as a blu-ray player. I also really prefer the dashboard and controller on the 360.

It's probably just a cyclical thing. The PS3 got kind of a boost last year due to the price drop (finally reaching the key $300 price point) and slim version. There may just be more people who bought a PS3 recently, and perhaps they're talking about it more because it's new to them.
In the end, it may even out.

I can't speak to the trend, but my interest in a PS3 has risen exponentially over the last year. I still don't own one, and I'm not sure I will any time soon (unless I can find one for the right price used), but I sure as shit want one. The PS3 seems to have some really great DLC games that I would love to try, as well as an ever growing list of exclusives that have my interest.

For me, the PS3 is only for platform-exclusive games. If it's available on 360, that's the version I'll get. There are exceptions here and there, for when the PS3 version offers additional features. The only one that comes to mind right now is Mirror's Edge. Sounds like Portal 2 may fall into that realm too.

I still don't really understand this notion that there aren't enough PS3 online players to find a game at any given time. There are always plenty of options for any given game at any given time. Warhawk is, what, three years old now? And there are always at least 40 or so games going of 20+ players each.
That game is the multiplayer Jesus...just wish I had nicer people to play with.
We crazy PS3 crackers form our own leagues and play dates because we'd much rather play with our own douchebags (Hi Slider!) than other random douchebags because we can come on here afterward and complain about their binoc spamming and horse shooting.
I totally agree with Flip's sentiment here. I like having a scheduled day to play games that I really like with funny MFers rather than jumping online to see my friend's list (along with a bunch of people I can't stand) playing this week's first-person murder simulator...which I then feel obligated to buy. It's just a better model for me.
By the way...IT'S TUESDAY BITCHES!!!!!11!!1!
