I've had a much better time with murdering people in this COD over any other so far. Loving scorestreak, stacking my kills, assists, and objectives together makes getting any scorestreak reward super easy. Been destroying people all over Ground War...and Nuketown 2025 is a total murderfest. I played one of the smaller maps the other day and got the AH6 Overwatch equivalent...just went to town on them. Target finder is the best addition to the game, so far.
I'm the exact opposite... I had a 1.5 kdr in MW3, but in this one I can barely get an RCXD... Every once in a while I have a round where I rape face and I can tell everyone else is lagging me, but that's few and far between.

almost done with the sp...this has been only average for me. I think it is because I played Halo 4 right before this, and the sp on that was better. The story is just garbage.
The cool new gadgets and weapons have been fun though.

Anyone else running with the engineer perk and the hacker tool? It's quite satisfying to hack a betty through a wall and then watch the guy that placed it get taken out.
I was looking forward to unlocking the MSMC submachine gun, but in all honesty I much prefer the PDW-57. I'll probably be sticking with that until I unlock the Skorpion.

Black Ops 2 Rakes in $500 Million in 24 Hours
By Angela Moscaritolo November 16, 2012 12:16pm EST 1 Comment
The latest installment in the Call of Duty franchise, Black Ops 2, raked in a whopping $500 million in retail sales around the world in its first 24 hours of release.
"With first day sales of over half a billion dollars worldwide, we believe Call of Duty is the biggest entertainment launch of the year for the fourth year in a row," Bobby Kotick, CEO of Activision Blizzard, said in a statement.
Activision said that millions of fans attended more than 16,000 midnight openings at retail stores worldwide to be among the first to get their hands on the game. In its first 24 hours, Black Ops 2 was a trending topic on Twitter in 23 cities worldwide. The game's launch trailer has tallied up more than 30 million YouTube views since its release on Oct. 29.
"Life-to-date sales for the Call of Duty franchise have exceeded worldwide theatrical box office receipts for Harry Potter and Star Wars, the two most successful movie franchises of all time," Kotick said. "Given the challenged macro-economic environment, we remain cautious about the balance of 2012 and 2013."
The strong early sales figures are not surprising. Back in May, Amazon revealed that the single-day pre-orders for Call of Duty: Black Ops 2 were three times higher than the one-day pre-order total for the game's predecessor, Call of Duty: Black Ops.
Perhaps the secret to its success is that Call of Duty isn't just a game, it's a brand, according to Eric Hirshberg, CEO of Activision Publishing.
"Every November we do more than just the launch of a game, we kick off an annual, unofficial but worldwide phenomenon called the Call of Duty season," he said.
Call of Duty: Black Ops 2, penned by The Dark Knight scribe David Goyer, takes place in the year 2025 where a terrorist organization takes control of U.S. high-tech, unmanned war machines. Besides the futuristic weaponry and military craft that look like they were pulled from the set of a Terminator flick, there are also shootouts that occur on horseback, as well as a simmering Cold War between the United States and China over rare Earth materials.
Black Ops 2 is not the only video game franchise making big bucks this month. The recently released Halo 4 earned $220 million in its first 24 hours. For more, see PCMag's full review.

I still don't understand having to pay to unlock stuff that you have to level up to get to. Use one or the other. I had forgotten about that annoying little quirk in the first black ops.
Does no one else think the MW series just has much better sound effects? Everything seems muffled in this series.

This series definitely sounds more muffled...A lot like CoD: World at War. But I don' mind it, I feel like the explosions and aircraft are slightly muffled, it allows me to hear players when they're closer.

See I rarely hear the footsteps in this game as opposed to MW3 where I heard them frequently.

I don't hear other player's footsteps, but my guy sounds like he's wearing corduroys.
oh, and I've kind of found a fix to the lag I'm facing... Now when I play I stream webcams on cam4 to make my connection worse.

A lot were expecting BO2 to sell less than MW3, especially since it was released a week after Halo 4 and many feel the franchise is getting tired.
That means BO2 sold more than 8 million copies on Tuesday alone. Based upon the past titles, the 360 edition sold somewhere in the ballpark of 4.5M copies, 1M more than Halo 4.

The spawning in this game is by far the worst I've ever encountered in the series. Half the time I die it's because I was shot in the back.

I didn't. I skipped them and then played them after the fact on an easier difficulty and didn't mind them to bad then. They chose the wrong one to be the first one in my opinion. Still, they don't fit in a game like this.
I enjoyed this game but have had my fill of it after a 5 day rental. I know IGN are fanboys but 9.3 is way to generous.

I skipped them on my veteran run with the idea that I would go back after finishing the sp...after finishing the game, I do not want to play these. The game was a massive letdown for me. The MP has been fun what little I have done so far.
Enemy AI is just so bad in this game. You have basically two different types of enemies. One that has no regard for their life, and will charge you at full speed and one that stays behind cover unless you are looking away from them, and then they have laser vision on your position...this is even if you are surrounded by other soldiers. This laser vision works even through walls, which I guess you could explain on future missions (though none of their weapons had those scopes) but even on missions in the past they have this gift. That being said it was so easy that some of the fun of the earlier games is gone. I don't understand making these games easier on veteran.
The call of duty games have always been a bit of a guilty pleasure, but the charm is gone for me.

Also I am done with games that have your character constantly making bad decisions... having their guns taken away....outsmarted by the bad guy even though you know what is going to happen....getting hit in the back of the head when you know it is going to happen... giving up their weapons when one person is being held hostage even though the FUCKING FATE OF THE WORLD REST ON KILLING SOMEONE....
This does not engage me...this does not put me on the edge of my seat...this does not in ANY way make me think how amazing this game is.
Look at the beginning of Batman Arkham City.

i was spawned on a claymore today...that annoyed me. I can accept the shitty locations otherwise, but taking one step and boom i had to turn it off.

Re: Call of Duty: Black Ops 2 (November 2012)
MW3 had it right. If they aren't going to give you a good spawn, at least make you only take a slight hit from a killstreak or grenade if you have JUST respawned. I've honestly respawned to another player knife killing me. That and the fact people one barring in the red are owning me and just skipping frames on my screen instead of on theirs is so damn annoying. I don't even bother with nuketown as all of the clans have realized you can spawn trap/scorestreak spam so much that you can go 100 -10 in one match of half of the game types. I was really hoping they would bring in some of the good of MW3 while leaving out the bad (quickscope hell). Guess I was wrong.

Re: Call of Duty: Black Ops 2 (November 2012)
I am having a lot of luck...winning most matches, though just like in black ops 1 players are so worried about K/D it makes it easy to win domination matches
spawn is broken though...as someone said above, I spawned on a landmine and in front of a sentry..in fact I spawned twice in front of the same sentry...
For some reason domination has been way easier for our team than black ops 1...it is getting so that we just run around looking for trouble because the other teams are just camping and worried about K/D

it sounds like something is broken on this game. I keep seeing people say how easy it is, and was even in a game where a guy was 43-0, but for my friends and I (who are above average at other CODs) we just keep getting owned.
I think in this game it's either you benefit from lag, or on the shit end of the stick. Not much in between.

Loving this (multi-player) so far. Only played Black Ops on Wii so limited experience with that one, played MW3 on PS3 quite a bit.
Never thought I'd like a single shot gun as much as I like the FAL-OSW. I've got all kinds of strange perk/wildcard combos. Interesting unlock method (was so used to MW3). I've got a ton of unused tokens.
Somehow got a copy with the Nuketown 2025 download and i'vce spent most of my time there (as I did on the Wii when I played that for a short time). It's so chaotic and fun since it's such a small map.

Was getting pretty frusterated on Nuketown 2025 last night, just getting fucking smashed in the ear again and again.
