I haven't met anyone with a Wii U whose downloaded any of the 30 cent games, save for one buddy that bought Super Metroid, nobody else could be bothered I guess? I just forgot about them.

re: The Wii U: From "cool" Sony to evil Nintendo

I got most of the 30 cent games. I think i skipped/missed F Zero.

My daughter has been saving 40 bucks to pick up Pokemon Y and now there is a Toys R Us deal where when you buy a nintendo game you can get half (or is it 40%) off a second one so i might pick up Wind Waker so then we both save some money. I just have to hope the Toys R Us we go to has both games on saturday

It's showing up for me as $30 and no mention of a controller.

Well free even beats 30¢.

I nabbed all the 30¢ ones but outside of the day I bought them I haven't played any of them.

I nabbed some of the 30 cent ones, and Earthbound. Those are the only downloads I've purchased on the Wii U.

Does anyone else's gamepad "creak" when pressure is applied at the corners or sides? It's like there may be a little give because the lower part of the gamepad is basically hollow.

Anyone?

I hadn't heard of that Zelda game so I did a search on it. It may have just convinced me to buy "my son" a 3DS.

re: The Wii U: From "cool" Sony to evil Nintendo

i thought the gamepad touch control levels were going to be annoying, but they are a nice break from the platforming.

i can't say enough good things about rayman legends. there is just SO MUCH content and the level design is top notch. i think i enjoy it more than Donkey Kong Country Returns, and i LOVED that game.

Like Origins, Rayman Legends is GOTY material. It's easy for people to assume the game pad stuff is disposable but it really is a blast and can be as challenging as the platforming. Like Andy said the though the Murphy levels are a nice break from the Rayman levels. I love platformers but typically tire of them after an hour or so(probably because I go for everything), Rayman breaks that mold for me.

I said as much in the Rayman thread but I cannot fathom the game being as fun on another platform.

Do they only charge when it ships? I know I'm gonna get pokemon this weekend, but there's a few games on that list I would preorder during the sale here.

re: The Wii U: From "cool" Sony to evil Nintendo

So if I could choose two Wii U games out of Pikmin, Rayman, and Wonderful 101, which one should I drop?

Only played Pikmin & Rayman but love them both. Did you play previous Pikmin or Rayman Origins?

I played Pikmin 1 and 2, but not Origins. I just downloaded Origins on my Vita (thanks PS+!).

If this is based on a sale, I'd drop Rayman just because the other two are published by Nintendo and will probably be the price they are for a pretty long time. Rayman Legends will be $20 in no time, and it'll be just as amazing then too.

re: The Wii U: From "cool" Sony to evil Nintendo

rayman is still $60 on toys r us...

but gamestop.com and in-store has it for $39.99... 100% worth it that price. while i enjoyed Pikmin 3 a lot more than I was expecting to, Rayman just blows away any other Wii U game out now.
