My best boost so far was a 20% XP gain, and I think I used that when taking on Music's rival score, so it was a super easy win, I ended up with something like 10k in xp that round alone.

Yup - more XP means more characters. Actually, you need to beat the characters in Career mode to unlock them - but you need XP to unlock the chance to unlock them.

Also, don't forget to share your caddy - especially if you've got some cool boosts on them. Mine has a wind -15% and a Bunker -20%. Also you get XP when others use your caddy.

Well, after some more time with Powerstar Golf I am way less in love with it. A large portion of the time, it does not work correctly.

-I have had numerous instances in which it will not recognize my second press of the A button off the tee, resulting in a nice 8yd drive.

-The putting system is basically 100% broken and it is next to impossible to sink anything over 10 feet and completely flat.

-When hitting off the fairway, the ball will never go where it is supposed to. For instance, I'm 100yds away from the green and hit the ball to go 100-110yds, yet it only travels around 65 and falls in a bunker. From the rough, this would kind of make sense, but I'm talking about from the perfectly flat fairway with perfect accuracy. Then sometimes, it will just fly like 150 yds. No consistency at all.

I'm going to give it a few more tries, but if the basic gameplay of a golf game does not wok correctly, there's no real point in continuing. Oh and to top it off, a few achievements are glitched. yay.

I've not had the pressing A issue that you're seeing. That stinks

When hitting, make sure that you're using the right stroke type, normal/pitch/chip. If you accidentally press X you'll be using the pitch hit, and that's the one that only goes 65 yards.

I've had no problems putting, in fact I rimmed an 80 footer two nights ago. Err on the side of adding too much juice to your putts, and to your reads too. Using the female caddy helps out to learn if you're reading things OK.

Something is up with my system. The games play fine, and Xbox on works great. But i click on settings and it hangs at the little gear screen then goes back to the main menu.

Also, I can't say Xbox anything when it's on. Xbox watch TV, xbox snap, etc. it's like it's not listening at all. Did I mess something up or do I have a lemon?

I also tried to uninstall Killer Instinct and after clicking on uninstall it did nothing. I unplugged the system, and am trying a power cycle to see if that works. But yeah this fucking sucks ass.

EDIT: it seems to have worked.

The achievement where you use the magician dudes special power with multiple balls. It needs to land within 3ft of the pin or something. I've done it 4 times now.

I finally got it by driving short of the green on purpose, then chipping it by the hole. Still took 5-6 tries for it to unlock properly. Same with the backspin within 5 feet 10x achievement or whatever it is. That took closer to 20.

I did get a hole in one tonight finally, and luckily that achievement did unlock

HA HA you guys must be really good. Im only at level 10 and cant even put spin on the ball. I push the dpad icon to the bottom of the ball before I hit it but never see any results
