There are 11 Day One Editions on Amazon Warehouse now in like new condition for $449.54. Still keeping an eye out for some regular editions to pop up for a decent price.

Bad news everyone. I unplugged my cable box from my Xbox last night.
Maybe it was my DVR but the TV was freezing, everything stuttering, couldn't watch anything. So I just unplugged the HDMI cable from the Xbox and connected it directly to my TV.
Oh well...

I did the same. Resetting the cable box didn't seem work, so I'm hoping this will.

Wow, I don't think I've ever seen a game on the Marketplace with as low as a
rating before. It must really suck. There's no demo, so I'll have to take their word on this one.

Did you try a hard shutdown? I switched to tv earlier today and got nothing but a black screen with the tv icon. Then it went back home and got a message saying the tv was taking too long to connect. Tried a couple more times but it didnt correct itself till I did hard shutdown. A shutdown has fixed lots of my glitches: tv and sound bar not turning on-off with the console/ missing popup notifications/ smart glass not connecting. It's the first thing I try if I'm having an issue with something.

I had a hard shutdown earlier in the day. Having to do that again was not an option. Basically, I wasn't happy with the way the TV "app" was working.

System update!
Xbox One System Update coming Feb 11
A battery indicator for your controller!
LOOK – A battery indicator for your controller
Marc Whitten has just posted details on Xbox Wire of the next Xbox One System Update that is coming next week.
Here are the highlights from the post:
On February 11, the first update will be delivered to customers who sign into their Xbox One. It features many new improvements – including lots of behind-the-scenes updates for developers building apps and games for Xbox One, several new features we believe Xbox fans will love, stability and product updates to improve the customer experience, and continuous improvements to the quality of Kinect voice so commands become more fluid and responsive over time. While we won’t be going into all of the details of the product updates today, we will be sharing more information soon.
Some of the features you can expect to see on February 11 include:
The ability to see and manage your storage space. With this update, you will find it easy to find how much space your content takes up and better manage your content. You can also control your install lineup and more easily manage your download queue. We’ve separated My Games and My Apps into separate lists, so you can easily create separate queues for both. Now you can pick the order in which you want your content to load and we’ve added a boot progress indicator so you can better track updates while they load.
The battery power indicator is back! You can see it right on the home screen, so you can easily track how much battery life is left on your controller.
And, you will be able to use your USB keyboard with your Xbox One.
These are just a few of the many updates we will be shipping on February 11. We’ll share more details on these and other upcoming features in the coming weeks. We have several surprises in store that we think you’ll love.
March 4 system updates – countdown to “Titanfall”
On March 4, in advance of what is expected to be the biggest game launch of the year, we will be delivering another system update to prepare your Xbox One for “Titanfall.” This update will contain many new features and improvements, most significantly to our party and multiplayer systems.

Hopefully a revamped achievement system is in one of these updates. I'll go ahead and assume friend notifications comes with the March update. Let me put MP3s on the hdd and I'm set!

I've been having the same infuriating TV issues as well. Sometimes I'll change channels or just simply fast forward my DVR and it will pause the video then go to the TV not found screen for a few seconds then go to static. Hard resetting sometimes works, unplugging the HDMI cable going in sometimes works. It's been beyond frustrating though.

They better not add friend notifications unless they also add the option to disable them independently from other notifications. It's one of my biggest pet peeves about the 360.
The other stuff sounds great!

I want to be able to turn the Kinect microphone OFF for in-game chat, but ON for Skype.
I want to be able to turn the Kinect motion controls OFF for the dashboard and apps, but ON for games that utilize it.

I'd happily trade all these updates for one single improvement : The ability to auto-sign-in without using the Kinect! It's absurd that they don't have that yet -- it's like they put that feature in solely as a reason to package the system with Kinect.

I picked up a Day One yesterday for $390 from AWD, not sure if I'm $390 worth of excited yet. I've gotten my money worth out of my PS4 but Forza and DR3 are the only games I find myself shopping for.
