Are you sure you are not saying "Yes... eh?"

It usually goes like this:
"Xbox, turn off.
Yes.
Yes.
YES.
YES!
MOTHERFUCKER YES!
XBOX YES!
XBOX. YES.
STOP LISTENING
FUCK YOU."
*grabs controller and shuts it off using that*
What's odd is that it has no problems with any other command. Dare I say, it's gotten BETTER at every other command (or I've been conditioned to say things better...). But not Yes. Fucker.

My XB1 stopped recognizing me saying "yes" last night, I got it for $390 from Amazon Warehouse a little under 30 days ago but I just give up with this thing. First it was the black screens when leaving games, then it doesn't connect to XBL and thus no voice commands work every few days, now I can't turn it off without a controller.
You still have warranty through them (and the possibility to purchase their 3-year warranty too) and they should be able to repair or replace your console.
The update launches tonight at 9PM PST and will roll out to users within the next two days. For those who didn't sign up for the preview, the patch is 1.3GB. For those who had the preview installed, the update is +/- 500MB.

If resetting the cache (turn off the console, unplug it, and leave it unplugged for at least two minutes) doesn't work, reach out to Microsoft. If you have a Microsoft Store in your area, I'd bring your console directly to them.

Also, I solved my black screen issues by plugging it directly into the wall instead of a power strip. I called support and they said their is a surge protector in the power brick and that being plugged into another surge protector was causing an issue.
I have had zero problems since then.

Free update for Peggle 2 out now, adds Duel mode for local or online play. You have to actually start up the game to get prompted for it, or at least I did. It's about 1.5GB (sigh).

I'm hating the updates being in the GB for all games. I guess that's part of being next gen.
Yesterday, I was ready to play a few minutes of COD, I play in a daily basis, but a update was waiting for me. First an Xbox update, and then a COD update. 30 minutes or so waiting for updates.

^COD updated automatically for me. Dead Rising 3 started to update automatically, but stopped when the system update came through. Peggle 2 did NOT auto update (it wasn't even in the Queue), so I got the prompt when I opened the game. Hulu Plus and XBox Video both needed updates as well.
Too many updates in one day, that's for damn sure.

Haha, thanks for the info, for some reason it didn't register in my head. I was thinking "Game Box" which didn't make any sense to me.

Eh?
Hoser.
Dont-cha-know
Timbits
double double
Take off.
The correct syntax is:
Xbox, take off, eh? You betcha!

This may seem like a dumb question, but is there any way to prevent the console from turning on when you plug in a controller to charge? I always turn off the system, then plug the controller in to recharge, and it seems to turn back on (by that time the TV is off and my harmony controls everything, so I haven't checked to be sure, but the light definitely turns back on).
Also, it seems like in the last month or so my harmony stopped turning my xbox one off consistently.

^ Are you plugging it into the USB port on the side, or the back? I plug it into the side, and it does the same thing, but I haven't tried the back. That said, I just leave one controller plugged in while I use the other one. When the one I'm using dies, I swap them while the system is still on, so it's not too big of an issue.
