Mine is a hundred dollar pause device. I only use it to pause/play movies. Haha

Xbox On - turns on my TV, receiver and xbox.
Xbox Turn Off - everything shuts down.
That's worth $100 alone for me.

Majority will still buy it? That's hilarious. If MS even half believed that they wouldn't be removing it from the bundle.
Fool me once shame on you...
Mine is still on the top of the tv only because the tv is mounted to the wall and I ran the kinect cord through the wall. It's not even plugged into the 360. Haven't bothered to pull the tv off the wall to get at it and rid the place of the sucker. It just sits there watching, judging and silently laughing at my foolish purchase.
Could not possibly disagree more. I bet the Kinect attach rate going forward is less than 10%. Nobody that buys the $399 bundle is gonna shell out another $75 or $100 for that thing. I literally dis-Kinected the thing from my unit the second or third day and it has been sitting on a shelf ever since.

Eventually my wife plans on using it for the exercise games. Eventually she says. Not that she needs exercise, she just wants to take advantage of the fact it's there.

Xbox Fitness is actually really good, and at least for the time being will only be free until the end of this year. I wonder though if they will extend it since they will need something out there to hope people who buy the new sku to buy a Kinect down the road.

Couldn't have put more plain and simple...essentially all the R&D they put into the XO leading up to the release has done a 180°...and it hasn't even been a full year yet.

It's funny, because it's true.
To be fair, I'm still surprised that South Park: The Stick of Truth hasn't dropped below $39.99 yet on the consoles. Meh. I got it on the PC instead.

The PC Version hasn't really dropped either. Also, the PS4 version of Black Flag took forever to dip.

However, most of Ubisoft's next-gen titles have rarely gone on sale (yet). I'm still waiting to pick up the Xbox One edition of Just Dance 2014 for my wife, but it's never dropped below $40 whereas the PS3/360/Wii/Wii U editions of the game have already hit as low as $15-20.

From this point in the generation on out, Microsoft needs to take a Costanza-like approach of 'whatever decision they decide to collectively make, they need to do the exact opposite'. That would save them the initial bad press of the stupid decisions and policies, as well as the humiliation of having to reverse course and getting the constant (and well deserved) string of XBox 180 jokes. That said, however humiliating the process is, at least they're getting there and listening to gamers (if not directly to gamers, at least gamer's dollars - or lack thereof).

Cross posting this for XBox One sales.

That's a pretty big drop between months with 115K, which makes dropping the Kinect and lower price unsurprising.
Microsoft is pimping their software sales though.

I'm sure the lack of any compelling software on either platform is not really helping April sales either.

I hope the external drive support also comes with the ability to play mp3s in the background while gaming like on the 360. I know support for larger drives is great and all, but personally useless for me. I doubt I'll ever use up more than 1/2 of my HDD. Music playing, however, would be fantastic.
