I'm not sure why you celebrate Wind Waker HD and decry this.

Oh, yeah. Replied before finishing reading the thread.
The WiiU was a dumping ground for ports the first 6 months. Can I interest anyone in Mass Effect & Batman: Arkham for $60? Hello? Anyone there?

The vast, overwhelming majority of games announced for the Xbox One aren't remasters or ports of previously released games. Why get your panties in a bunch over the tiny trickle of ports/remasters? I seriously think you bought the Xbox One just to have an excuse to bitch about it.

Almost everything you post in every forum is intensely negative. It's as if you see people expressing any sort of excitement or enthusiasm about something, and you have to swoop in and tell them how foolish they are for liking anything.
Moaning about the Xbox One's ports/remasters when your ideal platform, the Wii U, has so many, many, many more (even accounting for the difference in release dates) is baffling.

So one subpar Zelda game gets an HD makeover for $50 and it's totally worth it, but a presumably $60 set with FOUR Halo games redone in HD = my Xbox One can remain unplayed.
Tell you what Gizmo, send me your Xbox One, and I'll send you my Wii U. I'll even throw in a sealed copy of Mario Kart 8.

I can understood "remastering"console games to Nex Gen to a point but it's not for everyone. In Gizmo's defense the same can be said for PS4 owners who will see "remastered' The Last of Us and possibly God of War series. Good chance many PS3 to PS4 owners won't jump at it.
But Halo well is Halo and has a strong bond with Xbox...the first to the 360 and even to XO eventually. Same could said for Gears...the game that got me to buy a 360 from the original Xbox. A remastered set could include far more than just the original game with fancier visuals which has happened with other games thru the years in S.E or limited sets. Be interesting to see how this Halo set would come about since most is Bungie and part 343 Industries. Behind the scenes artwork, early concepts, and possible seperate soundtrack would make it a wothy look.
But remastered game from 360 to XO (or for that matter PS3 to PS4)...something like trading in a 2009 car for a 2014 same make and model. More newer, better looking, updated features but pretty much drives the same.

Are you telling me you don't want to rebuy all of those classic Nintendo titles on the Wii U, especially after you already bought them on the Wii?

There are so few games that are truly worth remastering, it's not even funny. Just re-release the original versions through the MS store or the PSN or the Nintendo Network or whatever, and let our purchases transfer to future consoles. Now spend your resources making new fucking games.

Probably not much of it, though. :-/ From an interview posted yesterday:
So does that mean 2016 at the earliest?
In parting, he touched on the topic of Quantum Break, Remedy's time-bending third-person shooter. "It's a big first party title, we're not talking about it much, but it's a big exciting title - just hit full production."

Wow! Huge update in June adds a bunch of good stuff:
-External drive support
-Auto sign in a profile!!!!
-Real name option as opposed to gamertag (I personally hate this idea...)
-Smartglass update to organize pins!!!
Some really good stuff in there. Can't wait for my preview update to kick in.
