Re: Xbox Game Pass/Game Pass Ultimate
My wife and I both played through Unpacked separately and really enjoyed it. A Little to the Left is another organization-centric game that’s popular (and a hit with my extended family).
One of the best things about Unpacking is its unconventional approach to narrative — learning so much about its protagonist and her life without ever seeing her (or anyone) and without so much as a word of dialogue.

I played the first unpacking part of unpacking this week and I liked it. It's kind of like PowerWash Simulator. It's not for everyone. It's a cozy destressing game.

If you don't get any kind of satisfaction/dopamine hit (like you might with Powerwash Simulator, as lwhy? mentioned) doing that, you might be better off just reading the story: https://screenrant.com/unpacking-ful...r-what-happens

Yeah I don't think it's something up GatorDeb's alley, though that's no knock on anyone.

The story is told through the object you unpack, the objects already in the rooms, and where you can place objects.

Ok I gave it another chance and after 44 minutes and two stages it's growing on me. I have a little girl and that second room shredded me as the little girl grew up.

That has clear progression and grinding, which are things you seem to like that Unpacking doesn't have. It's also not a puzzle solver as strict as something like Picross. But I'm glad you gave it another chance if you do end up liking it.

If anyone likes Vampire Survivors and games like that, try Brotato. It has been on Steam since June and has 97% positive reviews. The Xbox/PS version came out yesterday and is on Gamepass.

Just finished Unpacking at 4:48 hours and I'm glad I gave it another chance because it's become one of my most favorite gaming experiences. Tomorrow I'll go read up that link on the story. Very heartwarming. I had spent three bucks on a one month ultimate to test out Palworld and ended up buying it so this made me feel I didn't waste three bucks.

Just spent another 22 minutes unlocking all achievements going off a list, they were hilarious. Have to get kids to school now but over the weekend I want to come back and go through the story in that link and through all the years again and view the years again as I read through the story. I want to buy this game because first I want to do it again and second I like just going back and touching stuff and moving things around and redecorating. Off to the wishlist.

Dead Island 2 is a new surprise just added tonight. Was playing a game and the notification popped up. I almost bought it on sale from Amazon 2 weeks ago for $30 but held off. For once it worked out. No notifications it was even coming to Game Pass.

Yeah that's a big surprise, especially considering how incessantly Game Pass usually tweets about upcoming games. This is a really good game, I loved it.
