Absolutely nothing in Southern California stores. At least a couple in OC. Seems like ghetto country don't get good stuff

i hear ya on the southern california stores though. NADA. i was hoping/wishing that i'd find some of those warner titles, but alas no. sucks to be me, i guess.

What are you looking for in SoCal? I found quite a few titles at 4 BL in the OC. But, I haven't seen any of the Warner 2 discs. At least not yet.

What's the consensus on the "previously enjoyed" discs? I can't bring myself to buy any of these. Maybe, if they were $2.

I only made it out to 1 BL this weekend and did not find any new anime on your guys lists. I really enjoyed the hunt for the batman serial so now I have decied to find starship tropper 2. So thats what I am looking for now. I also have never seen any of the mythical james dean titles. I am hitting the BL I missed over the weekend in the next day or 2 so hopefully I will see some more anime for you guys.

Neil,

I just saw Starship Troopers 2 at a couple of BL this past Saturday. If you can't find it, maybe I can pick it up for you.

The "hunt" is part of the fun

I wouldn't mind owning Enron: TSGITR or Kiss Kiss Bang Bang, but I can't bring myself to buy them since the cases appear to be from Blockbuster. I haven't seen any reports on the the condition of the discs or artwork yet.

I purchased Murderball from Big Lots and it was in a Blockbuster case. Played fine.

How did the disc look? and scratches? Was the disc printing stock, or the rental printing?

That's another one I wanted, Murderball. Good doc.

I haven't seen it at BL (or S2 for that matter), but it's currently $11.07 at DD w/free shipping.

Me too. For $1-$2 I would probably pick up one from time to time, but it's pretty ridiculous that the used titles are more expensive than most of the new ones.

PMing everyone who's found stuff for me, I've narrowed the field a bit further by myself

I've seen this one in the $5 bin at WM. You might save some time by looking there instead. I got mine there since one has yet to show up at the BL near me.

The Big Lots in my area hasn't had much of anything the past couple months, but I don't frequently check. Seeing some of the things you guys have found, I may have to make a stop sometime this week, I'll let you know what I find.

Just for fun I found Mobile Suit Gundam v7. What the hell good v7 of the original series will do me (much like v10 of Wing) remains to be seen.

I bought Broken Flowers, the only copy I've seen in my area for $3 Previously Viewed. The disc looks as if it was never rented, no scratches / smudges, that I could see.

I bought it from Big Lots last year and had to exchange it twice because disc one had heavy scratches. After the third scratched disc I got, I decided to contact Bandai. I'm sending them the disc tomorrow to get replaced.

If you want to get it from BL, it would probably be better to go to a b&m store than to trade for it.

I've been to every single BL B&M within about a 30 mile radius, and only about 2 of those stores have not gotten in there pile of bandai junk, so I don't imagine I'll find it, unfortunately.

The BL nearest me has tons of anime. I saw Planetes, but not sure which one. I also saw 3 of the Yu-Gi-Oh 1st complete season tins for $13. I'm not much into anime, but my son likes it.

I'm still looking pretty thoroughly for v4 and v1 of Planetes myself...
