As of yet, no other shopper on the forums here have reported a sighting of Heroes or Firefly at their local BL. We are seeing a new surge of Sony titles, but these boxsets are both Universal titles.
Actually, have we seen any Universal at Big Lots?

Picked up People vs. Larry Flynt and Sniper 2 for $2 each. Just goes to show how late we're getting these things in California.

In my part of Western Wa, all I've seen in the last 3 weeks of any significance are restocks of Memento & The Dean Martin set. Nothing else of any import.

^The store near me has only about 20-30 titles left. Most are the low budget animated kids stuff (not anime) and a *few* PD titles. No new stock for 3 weeks. It's actually dwindled. Based on the titles I've seen disappear quickly it seems there are some "craft sale" or "country auction" folks cleaning them out to make a buck or two off the people who don't know about BL.

I dont think they would be lying about thier finds, but if they are found to be lying about thier finds, dont you think they should be banned from the board.

Atlanta Ga store just put out a ton of Sony's Segal/Van Damme/Snipes STDVD action flicks.
3.00 each.

There are ten Big Lots stores in our area within a 30-mile radius. During the past two years, I can't recall seeing a single Universal title at any of them (new or used).

I'm pretty sure I've seen a PV'd Scorpion King and 2Fast2Furious at my big lots, but that was a while ago. With so many video stores going out of business, is it possible they were PV'd sets that some liquidator got a hold of and they were one-offs?

Its hard to believe that Fox and Universal would be remaindering good sellers such as Firefly and Heroes to discount stores.

You are that dude who thought it was suspicious when a customer gets a boatload of bargain stuff ( Sandman007 is suspicious link ). I wouldnt waste my time proving something especially to a memebr who cant accept reality if someone beats him to a bargain.

For somebody who posts a picture of it everytime he takes a crap, he seems pretty sensitive about posting a picture of his invoice.

I suspect either a fraudulent return from someone desperate to unload or previously viewed copies...at least, so long as I give xage benefit of the doubt, which I do, cause...who cares?

Yes!! I dont think it is too much to ask that all of the fellow users of the board post only deals that are "for real" and not mess with peoples heads with fake postings

Well, yeah, but I guess I mean "who cares about accusing him of lying?"--mostly because I figure it's either that or the above explanations I gave, and why accuse him of lying when there ARE those possibilities?
Irrelevant I guess, but, what the hey.

I agree, maybe those titles got there by mistake... Maybe a customer traded those for Bottoms up or the Frank Sinatra Movie pack.

Of course I haven't seen those 2 titles and there are 12 different Big Lots in my area.

Well, in the last week I've picked up
The Missing
Idendity
Steamboy
Hexed
Batman 1943 Serial
Ali (Director's Cut)
The Lords of Flatbush
Blue Thunder SE
Memento SE
Ace High
Man In The Vault

Nice bunch of movies for $3.00 each!

I've hit 7 different Big/Lots, and found something to pick up at all but one.

Keep in mind that some of BL's dvd batches appear to be very regional. To the best of my knowledge, my state hasn't received any of the Warner 2 DVD sets that showed up in the Midwest a month or so back.

man I'd kill to have 12 big lots around here if they all got decent stock.
Then again, I probably would kill if I DID have them.
...myself, that is. By spending way more on gas than I saved on DVDs, leaving myself no money for food.

Even if he posted the receipt it would only say " DVD 3.00" or something like that.
Big Lots has there own barcode system.

Sounds like a good deal, I would go for it. Good for him.

I spotted Zentrix at my local BL. It was one of the DVDs in the picture so I tend to believe the poster isn't trying to fool anyone. He got lucky. I wonder if store employees wouldn't grab Firefly and Heroes before they made it to the shelf. Still watching for them. In unrelated news I have a local store called Rose's that has a bunch of DVDs for $1.67 each. They all have a U.A.V bar code pasted on them. Some are the really, and I mean really early works of some well known actors. But some decent titles such as 2 Days In The Valley, Night Shift, etc.
