Are you serious?
Yes, but I admit I was surprised that it wasn't full screen or something like that. I've been reluctant to pick Sin City up in it's regular format since I, some day, plan on getting the deluxe set. For $5 though, I couldn't pass it up. I saw it at two different stores.

Anyone out there picked up a copy of Lip Service for me yet? Still not available at my local 3 BL's.

It was new stock. Those titles weren't at this store when I was there last weekend.

I saw all of those titles (except Ignition) at various stores last week. They aren't new stock around here, unfortunately.

Revisited 5 BL's and only one had anything new.

All are $2.00 & Sony Pictures releases

BTW, I saw one Sin City DVD. It was the Alliance Atlantis version, which is the distributor for Buena Vista in Canada. I'm not sure the difference between the 2 with the exception of the added French subtitles. I would assume it's the same quality.

The Cold Mountain and Birth I recently got were also Alliance Atlantis versions.

In case anyone is interested. Titles that were either bought or seen at BL's are in bold on mcarver's OOP list (Sony titles only). If anyone has seen or purchased additional titles, let me know and I'll edit this post.

I also just added possible new OOP titles that may or may not show up at Big Lots. A few of which I have already seen. Again, this only relates to Sony/Columbia/Tri-Star releases.

Black & White (Gina Gershon) ***
So what does the 3 stars mean?
Not that it matters, if I saw a Gina Gershon movie, I'd buy it anyway.
Thanks for the info!

Ken, you can embolden these:

Afterglow
Blood Crime
Cold Steel
Facing Windows
First Shot
The Harvest
Implicated
Outside The Law

All found tonight & all $2 a piece (I think...mostly)

I just got back from my local. They must have restocked today. There was an overflowing rack of new titles - all different from the ones I saw at the same store a couple of weeks ago. I noticed there was only 1 copy of most $2 titles, while most $3 titles had up to 3 copies. Went nuts & picked up Vanya On 42nd Street, Tokyo Joe, They Came To Cordura, Splendor, Myth Of Fingerprints, The Front, Jackpot, Desert Bloom, Die Die My Darling, Eat A Bowl Of Tea, Dead Heat On A Merry-Go-Round, & a few others. Yippee!

(Almost hurt to leave behind $2 Afterglow, but already have it & only other person I could think of who would like it also has it...)

After work I went to one location that I previously visited (which I ended up not getting anything). Today, they had a LOT of new stuff. And almost every title I picked they had 2-3 copies. Here's what I got...

Big Brass Ring
Desert Blue
Die! Die! My Darling!
Happy Birthday To Me
Jackpot
Ruby
Atlantis
Nina Takes A Lover
Eat A Bowl Of Tea
Splendor
Myth Of Fingerprints
Double Vision (a.k.a. Shuang Tong)
Dead Heat On A Merry-Go-Round
I Capture The Castle
Harry And Walter Go To New York
Caught
Another Meltdown
Facing Windows
Happy Times

You should have seen the look on peoples faces that were in line behind me
For just under $50, 19 DVDs. I'm out of control.... I think we're all out of control

Anyone know if they ever fixed the "Happy Birthday To Me" disc? I heard they used some odd print that had temp music in place of some of the final music that was used in the movie. Sort of wanted to check that out, but I've already got the old laserdisc and I bought too many other DVDs already.

No, they did not fix the music. Still, $2.00 is a great price for this disc, which originally went for $20.00.

My local Big Lots FINALLY put these dvds on the shelves. For the past two weeks, my Big Lots had nothing and I was getting jealous while reading all the posts of what everyone was buying. Was especially happy to get Die! Die! My Darling! for 2 bucks. This is better than going to the 99 cent stores and buying crappy public domain dvds.
