Not bad for $27

I regret not picking up foxfire as well.
Watch out for Wild Things. They're all FS, unless you found a WS/FS flipper

Did not look, everything else was widescreen so I made an assumption on that one.

Curious, is your name Darkhawk in reference to the marvel comics character? One of my all time favorite marvel characters (Infact I use that forum name at a few comic forums)

I stopped by a Big Lots on the way home tonight. They just received their HBO shipment last night so they had a pretty good selection. They still had a few Columbia/Sony titles remaining from last week's palett.

Purchased:

Angels in America
The Cheap Detective (I did not realize I picked up the full screen version until I got home.)
Cracker: Series One
Elephant
The Hitchhiker Vol. 1
In Cold Blood
Last Days
Sweet and Lowdown (FS/WS)

Yes. I was pist off when they cancelled the series. I wrote Marvel asking them why they keep cancelling every new hero's series by not giving them a chance. True, he's not Spider-Man or The X-Men but it's good to see a new hero get its own book.

Just returned after a fresh overstock that unfortunately had limited selection and zero HBO titles. Picked up:

Art School Confidential
Masked and Anonymous
Sweet and Lowdown (almost walked out with the FS only version! )
Bad Education
Anatomy 2
The Mothman Prophecies
Lords of Dogtown
The Third Miracle
Death Tunnel (probably will regret that decision)

It looked like they received two copies of each of the HBO titles. Unfortunately, I could only find one Angels in the America. They did have a few more Sweet and Lowdown WS. I can try to pick one up, but I will not be near that Big Lots until after the weekend.

Hey, Larkin!

What's the location for the store where you snagged all the HBO titles?
I'd like to go there and see if you left any for me...

Thanks,
Dave

My closest Big Lots had most of the Sony titles and about half the HBO titles. The other Big Lots around me only had some of the Sony titles.

I'd love to find Norma Jean and Marilyn and the Dark Crystal.

For any St. Louis, MO DVD talkers, as of this morning, the Crestwood/Watson Rd. store has a big palate of Sony titles, with multiple copies of many of them. I could NOT find the Batman serials and Labyrinth, but they did have five copies of the big fancy "Dark Crystal". I got:

Still Crazy (WS/fullscreen)
Auto Focus
Gattaca (Superbit)
Sketches of Frank Gehry

Between the American Fork and Provo, Utah stores, I was able to find most of the new HBO and Sony titles... But still no "Elephant", "Last Days", "The Dark Crystal", or "Labyrinth", which are the four titles I want the most...

Still, I did buy:

American Splendor
Capturing the Friedmans
The Changeling
The Company
The Forgotten
Maria Full of Grace
Real Women Have Curves

I also saw one copy of "Angels In America", and lots of other HBO series, but decided I wasn't interested enough to buy them...

I ended up reselling my Labyrinth CE DVD after realizing there is a better 2-disc Anniversary Edition (released 14-Aug-2007).

Note to self: Check Michael's DVD List before purchases.

Couple of quick questions. Has anyone found a copy of "Cracker Series Two"? Also, have any stores received a second batch of HBO titles?
