It has been over 5 weeks, and I still have not received my $20 Paypal rebate. I have a feeling these Paypal deals are almost YMMV...some people will be able to take advantage of the deal, and some will try, but will not end up receiving the promised rebate.

Guess i gotta buy something on ebay. Whenever i use Paypal checkout with a store it says my zip code isnt valid (since it uses the 9 digit zip code instead of the first 5 numbers).

What about eBay Express? Does it count since it is part of eBay.

Are we supposed to get any sort of confirmation when we sign up for these rebates? Because I've gotten zilch.

I did receive the $20 credit from the last promotion, so I certainly plan on participating in this one.

Bought a new mouse at newegg.com...we'll see how soon the rebate comes through. The shipping costs pushed the total over $30, so I hope that counts. Thanks for the post!

Already signed up. Got the $20 relatively quickly so hopefully this one is quick too.

Has anybody received any sort of confirmation as to whether or not the $30 total can include shipping charges?

I've got 2 CDs in my cart at CD Universe. The product total is $26.34, shipping is $3.99, for a total of $30.33. Technically, I am making a PayPal payment of $30.33, which is more than the $30 stated in the promotion.

Anybody know if this purchase will qualify for the promotion?

Ordered Quanum Leap Season 5 from B & N.
I am a member and used the 25% Coupon posted in another thread.
$29.23 + tax=$30.98
decent deal, then when I get the $15 rebate from paypal
total will be $15.98
really good deal.

Make sure you register at Paypal First.
Otherwise no rebate.

I don't have the answer to your question, but what you wrote made me come up with another:

The details in the promotion indicate that the rebate would only be good for any "single purchase".

Does that mean a single transaction (in which you can purchase more than one item), or or a single item (a purchase consisting of one item over $30)?

Those are my interpretations of it, so if someone can clarify that for me (and for anyone else that's just as confused) it would be much appreciated!

Have either of these actually been confirmed? I placed my order with CDU, but I don't know for sure if it'll work. It is on their list of "Shops" so I would assume that it'll be fair game. I know I spent more than $30 on a single item, before shipping. I just have to wait and see if it'll get applied, but I'm not 100% sure when that'll be.

It says "shop online anywhere that Paypal is accepted in the U.S. and Canada" so I'd imagine that really means any online store that accepts Paypal.

If you go to the Paypal site and let the session time out, when you go to sign back in there will be a promotional click-through about the $15 rebate. Following that link I used my email address again on the promotional page and got the message that "our records indicate that you have already registered. You only need to register once. Now go shop."
So apparently I am registered, even though I never received any notification through my email account.

I never use paypal but I was thinking about moving $30 into my account if this works well. I'd rather not wait a month for the rebate though...

I don't know what to say about that, their last promo was $20 back on $50 purchase, and I got the money in like a month or so.

I have something i want to order on ebay that is just $18... but shipping is $23 (damn ebay clowns). At any rate, I also wanted to know if the $30 minumum was just the closing price of the auction or the total including shipping. I contacted paypal customer service via email asking them if it included shipping or not. I'll post up either way...

Were you actively notified by Paypal that it had been applied to your account or did you just happen to notice it was in there one day?

Well, I got a response from Paypal customer service. Good news, shipping is included... so long as the total payment is over $30 and the rest of the criteria are met, you get the $15... at least thats how I read his comments. Here is the entire email they sent me:

Dear Jason Brown,

Thank you for contacting PayPal. We apologize for the delay in
responding
to your service request.

The promotion includes are any seller, and includes shipping.

The cash rebate PayPal email address opt-in begins February 8, 2007 -
March
31, 2007.

To qualify for the $15.00 rebate, you must meet the following

or
through any other limited offer you may have received

eBay.com,

· eBay.com and eBay.ca purchases must have been made through the

checkout flow via the eBay website and not through the PayPal send
money
tab
· Purchases must have been made between 2/8/07 12:01 PST and
3/31/07
11:59 PST

The Cash Rebate will be deposited into the participants' PayPal
accounts by

I use paypal very infrequently, so I'm not sure what type of payments are excluded from this promo. If I make a paypal payment that works by merely deducting from my bank account the amount I owe to the vendor, is this considered a "Virtual Debit Card payment" (which is on the list of excluded transactions)?

thats a good question... and I wasn't sure... so I just transfered $50 from my bank to paypal and as soon as it arrives there, I'll just buy what I want and transfer the rest of the $ back to my bank. I'd rather just do that than have some dumb rule of the promotion snag me and not get any rebate back at all.

So now it is saying that you are eligible only if you have received an email directly from PayPal. Is this true? Anyone confirm this?
