Twilight Zone Complete Series appears to be about $107 plus tax with this promotion just in case more ideas are needed..

Pre-order something that doesn't come out until next year! Then you don't have to pay until it ships!

I guess B&N didn't like my idea. They pulled the Essential Art House - 50 Years of Janus Films from the site.

Has anybody tried the coupon on pre-orders?

I purchased a B&N membership at one of their stores earlier this evening. I tried to access the membership account online, but it does not recognize the membership number yet. How long does it typically take for B&N's system to recognize a new membership? Should I wait 24 hours?

"If you recently purchased your Membership in a Barnes & Noble bookstore, it may not be activated online yet -- it normally takes 1-2 business days for Memberships purchased in-store to work online."

I did the same thing and got the same response. I didn't want to wait because I was afraid the 50% off coupon would expire or be canceled. I ordered a second card at BN.com. I received an E-mail an hour after ordering
with my account number. Since I had ordered for B&N previously, without being a member, I already had an account with them. After receiving the e-mail, I logged into my B&N account . My new membership number was already
a part of my account. I returned the card I bought in the store.

I was wondering if anyone else who used the 50% coupon on in stock items have received an email that the shipment of their order was being delayed?
Laser, I order from them all the time and they do this quite often for me. Especially on Hot selling items

Yes, once per member account... If you get one in the mail, you can use that once as well...

I also got a 50% code in the mail. The code is P7N6J9K. They probably sent the same code to prevent people from using it more than once.

Darn. My friend got the same code as well. In the past, they have distributed multiple codes for the same promotion, but they finally got smart. Although, if there is another high priced item someone wants, it might almost be worth it to open a 2nd B&N membership. Then you'd be able to use every coupon twice for the next year... I'm tempted to do this...

I have 2 already. It has always paid me. If you purchase a lot from them you will come out ahead.

They have the buy2get1 every year, with new coupons every week and hopefully another buy1get1 tv sale it is worth your while.

Thanks for the explanation. This was the first time out of many orders I received an email about delays. Most of the DVDs I order are from the top 100 list since they usually get a better discount. However it didn't appear like it was delayed because a short time later I got shipping confirmation email. I thought the email was sort of strange because there really wasn't a reason for it.

I got 2 of those emails on the same day for the same order, then a shipping notice that same day as well. I'm not worried. B&N always comes through for me...

...and suddenly B&N memberships spike! I'll leave it at getting my first membership; getting two is a bit overkill (for me, at least).

Crud! I did not know about this. $126 is a good price. Is this set basically all of the original season releases, plus the movie, plus the featurettes from the mythology sets? If there is nothing else new, I probably should not double dip...

Thanks for the 50% off code and the 25% off code too. Even including the cost of the membership which I had to purchase we saved over $125 on a Lego Mindstorms set.
