It's been trending this way for a couple of years now. Higher prices on DD, more competition, bloated DVD collections by now for many of us, moving to blu-ray, high blu-ray pricing, etc. It's a new ballgame now.

I don't want to make a big deal out of something but I wanted to mention that when I put an order through for $25.30 they charged me $25.31 on my credit card. The order from DeepDiscount on my order history tells me the order came to $25.30 but they charged my card $25.31. I called customer Service and they didn't correct the price instead they told me it must be an error and I asked her does this happen often and she said its the first she ever heard about it. I hope we don't see any hidden cost like this again becuase its not right.

Just to echo what Trevor stated about no orders this year, and that I was not suprised that DD extended their sale (my guess is due to lower sales volume than previous years). I did place one order for "The Battle of Algiers", because I needed it for work and the sale happened to be taking place. Aside from that it was no orders due to finances and a huge stockpile of previously purchased series and movies that I haven't viewed yet. This time of economic uncertainty has shifted me from BB, Amazon and DD, my traditional sources of DVDs to Big Lots and Ross, where the prices are 3 bucks per DVD. Its hard to go back to $15-$20 after sating your DVD lust at the liquidator stores. Every now and then BB will screw up in an ad, (like with Troy Ultimate Edition or Popeye Volume 1) and that will merit a trip to the traditional sources of DVDs, but this years sale was a non-event at my household.

Got two more boxes today, in good condtion. One of my books has a hold on the corner, due to the way they put it in the box. Today I got 3 out of 20 items still missing.

Im worried however, because all three of these were to ship later this week. the other orders that shipped first are still nowhere to be seen. The first part of my order that shipped w/ 10 dvds was confirmed to be shipped Jun 18 (or thats when I got the email) but its still missing.
Estimated delivery date: 6/27/08 - 7/02/08

I know I'm two days off, but I'm worried. I didn't order two of the discs that arrived today until well after 3-4 days the big order shipped. until later and the estimated time on those two was; 7/05/08 - 7/10/08.

I wonder if its smaller packaging that getting through quicker?

I also have several items still on backorder, hopefully they get in soon.
