I ordered the complete series of The Sopranos. Hopefully it'll get back in-stock soon and ship. I wanted to buy more, but that was a pretty big chunk of money and I can't afford any other DVDs at the moment.

just ordered that Paul Naschy collection based off the DVD talk review. Never heard of him of those films before but the review made it sound pretty good and the price was too hard to pass up.
Also got the Three Kings/ A Perfect Storm double feature for a gift. You cant go wrong with two great movies with a combined total of around 12 hours of bonus features for only $5.

Did anyone's order for these go through? A see a lot of posts here that people ordered these.
My Bottle Rocket Blu-Ray (with shirt) is still "processing," but I would not be surprised if it gets canceled. I just ordered it last night.

Still really disappointed they pulled the Hellboy II CE Blu-Ray.

What I meant was that an order that I made last Thursday just came to my door a few minutes ago (at the time of the original post), does that make more sense?

DD employs some real crackerjack shipping clerks. I received the bulk of my order today. They sent 34 of the 36 titles on the packing list, had 1 circled and marked backorded, and 2 titles I did NOT order. So I get to ship back 2 titles tomorrow. Idiots.

Edit: So I got everything unwrapped. The Beast had not 1, but BOTH discs loose. FUBAR. Guess I gotta call again in the morning.

Mine is still listed as "Open" on the website, which almost assuredly means its going to be canceled. Bummer.

Its OOS but I pulled the trigger on Sopranos Complete. A few minutes later I received my Live cash back. Another $10 off

I also received Complete Hulk and Batman TAS today, ordered on Thursday. Both came in good shape, and are both great sets.

Lol, XL definitely doesn't mean you're fat. I'm 6'4" and considered skinny by most, but wear an XL.

Dear DD,

Would it hurt you to take the discount on any items we order that RELEASE during the sale? Why make us place numerous orders, when you could just as easily apply the discount to all the items (providing that they street during the sale period)? Instead, I have to wait for the items to arrive, place a new order for the items when they release, and then return the original order and wait for a refund. You know I am going to spend the money with your company, so why potentially lose my business by making me go through all of this, when it would be just as easy to either (1) apply the discount to those items now, or 2) allow me to adjust the price upon release date (providing the item streets during the sale period).

Also, why can I not cancel items that are either out of stock or per-orders that are a week away? Of my 5 items I ordered, only one was available - yet I am being told that those items can not be cancelled and re-ordered later.

Sorry to vent, but with the amount of business you get - it would be a nice gesture if you could make it a little more customer-friendly when situations like this arise.

Regards,

A Customer

Yeah, I take really cold showers too.

I imagine they'll cancel all the Bottle Rocket/Chungking Express orders. Mine might already be cancelled, I should go check.

Last time, they extended their sale another week, didn't they? I'm hoping for that this time around. Those were my two big "gets" for the sale this Fall and I was disappointed to find out that they come out the Tuesday after the sale ends. 25% was a nice surprise though.

Or you could just wait until the last Tuesday of the sale to order everything. Patience is a virtue.
