I almost forgot about the Budd Boetticher box set and Pete Kelly's Blues but was talking to my dad about movies yesterday and both Boetticher and Jack Webb came up and I remembered that these were now available so I jumped on it at about 12:30 am and placed the order.

I didn't even know that Love and Honor had been released domestically (I loved Twilight Samurai and The Hidden Blade) until I saw it on the shelf at the local Best Buy - so when I got home I immediately ordered the thing on DD.

That should do it for me this time. It's my smallest total order amount to date, but more than I planned to spend. At 25% off I just couldn't resist some of these titles.

I recently made my first purchase for this year's DD sale, however, I have a question.

The item I have attempted to purchase is the Freaks and Geeks Yearbook edition that has yet been released. I know that this deal does not work with pre-orders, but I noticed this item was on "back-order" and not a pre-order. Obviously they haven't mailed the item out, but what are my chances in actually receiving it for the price I ordered it for after the 25% discount?

The release date listed on DD and DVD Planet was the old release date. Neither site ever changed that detail when the set was pushed back to 11/25. I ordered it from DVD Planet, and I expect it to ship out once it's officially released on that date.

Apparently I waited too long to purchase Chronological Donald: Vol. 4 when they made it available again with the 25% discount. It's now no longer available. I was resigned to order it from Amazon, but to my surprise, they dropped the price from 24.99 to 19.99. I'm still in a Prime trial, so I didn't have to add anything else to get free shipping. I'm hoping they'll drop the price of Dr. Syn as well.
